Dwight Eugene Swisher1,2

M, b. May 15, 1959, d. October 27, 2023
Dwight Eugene Swisher It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of a remarkable soul, Dwight E. Swisher. Born on May 15, 1959, to Theron and Susie Swisher. He touched the lives of many during his brief but impactful journey on this earth. Dwight departed from us on October 27, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories. Dwight, a man with a heart of gold, left behind a legacy that touched the lives of many. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back without hesitation, always putting others before himself. He possessed an unparalleled ability to make everyone feel valued and cherished. His selflessness and unwavering compassion were a true testament to the extraordinary person he was. Dwight had a special gift for finding joy in the simplest moments and spreading laughter wherever he went. His infectious laugh and playful spirit were a source of comfort and camaraderie to all who knew him. He had a way of brightening even the darkest of days with his quick wit and genuine humor. In addition to his remarkable legacy, Dwight E. Swisher leaves behind a loving family and cherished friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Deanna Swisher, and his adored son, Jack Swisher. Dwight's love extended beyond his immediate family, as he also leaves behind two stepdaughters, Heather Hudson and Andrea Hudson, who held a special place in his heart. In addition to his children, he leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Nathan (Allie) Mcfann, Charlie & Devan Spencer, Layla & Lincoln Dodrill, Grayson & Beckett. Although his life on the road kept him away for a lot of years, he loved each of them deeply. Dwight had a special bond with his nephew, Theron "Bub" Hodge, who shared cherished memories with him. Their connection was a testament to the impact Dwight had on those closest to him. Additionally, his cousin, Jeff Cook, held a special place in his heart, sharing a bond that transcended family ties. Among Dwight's close circle of friends, there was one special person who held a significant place in his life—Kathy "Kathleen" James. Their friendship was a source of joy, support, and laughter, serving as a reminder of the power of genuine connections. Finally, Dwight's circle of close friends, whose names may be too numerous to mention, held a special place in his heart. Their unwavering support, shared laughter, and countless memories were a testament to the deep bonds formed throughout his lifetime. Dwight was preceded in death by some very special women who held a significant place in his heart. His mom, Susie "Memaw" Swisher, was not only a loving mother but also a guiding presence in his life. Vivian "Aunt Dee" Cook, another cherished figure, provided love and wisdom throughout his journey. However, it was his sister, Rhonda Lynch Swisher, who held an irreplaceable role in his life. Rhonda was not only a sister but also a mother figure to Dwight, offering unconditional love and support. Her absence left a profound void, and she is deeply missed, as her greatness and impact continue to be felt even after her passing. Dwight Retired from CSX in 2020, the years he spent on the railroad was defined by the invaluable friendships he formed. Beyond the tasks and responsibilities, he built lasting bonds with his colleagues that stood the test of time. Through shared experiences, laughter, and unwavering support, these friendships became an irreplaceable part of his life. The connections Dwight made at CSX serve as a beautiful reminder of the lasting impact of genuine companionship. As we grieve the loss of Dwight, let us hold onto the memories of his warmth and kindness. May his legacy serve as a reminder to cherish every moment with our loved ones and to live each day with a spirit of compassion and laughter. Dwight's absence leaves an emptiness in our hearts, but the impact he had on our lives will forever remain. May his soul find eternal peace, and may we find comfort in knowing that Dwight's spirit will forever be with us, guiding us along our own journeys. Forever remembered, deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, we humbly ask that you take a moment to cherish the precious time you have with the special people in your life. Let Dwight's journey remind us all that our time on this earth is fleeting. Embrace every opportunity to create lasting memories, to express love and gratitude, and to hold those dear to your heart a little tighter. For in the midst of life's uncertainties, it is the cherished moments shared with loved ones that become the true treasures of our existence. May we honor Dwight's memory by embracing the fragility of life and savoring every precious second we are blessed with.3 He was born on May 15, 1959 at Ohio.2,3 He married Cheryl Ann Curry, daughter of George Frederick Curry Sr. and Yvonne Mae "Bonnie May" Swisher, on April 20, 1979 at Rich Creek, Giles Co., Virginia.2,1 Dwight Eugene Swisher and Cheryl Ann Curry were divorced on December 11, 2000 at Gallia Co., Ohio.4 Dwight Eugene Swisher died on October 27, 2023 at Ohio at age 64.3
