She was born July 11, 1896 the daughter of Charles and Drusilla Reed Corrie and was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church of Martinsville. Mrs. Ailes was a retired nurse of the Central State Hospital in Indianapolis. She was married to Clem Ailes who preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 2 at the Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown, with Mrs. Betty Quakenbush conducting the services. Burial was in the Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery. Surviving are four sons, Mark and David Ailes of Morgantown, Phillip Ailes of Martinsville and William Ailes of Georgia; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Burris of California, Mrs. Garnet Chattum of Peoga and Mrs. Dodrothy Walt of Cuba, Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Oliphant of Trafalgar, and Mrs. Dorothy Gilbert of California; 27 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. A brother, daughter and son also preceded her in death. on January 22, 1975.5

Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Bruce, El Sobrante, Calif and several nieces and nephews. on September 21, 1979.4
