He was united in marriage Nov. 11, 1972, in Salem, Ark. to Patsy (Miller) Hatman. He is survived by his wife, Pat Hatman of the home in Thayer, Mo; his mother, Sue Hatman of Bryant, Ark; his brother, Jerry Hatman of Bryant, Ark; his children, Kelly Hatman and wife, Eve of Pineville, Ark., Kimberlie Preston and husband, Jerry of Booneville, Ark., Chris Hatman and wife, Sara of Serrum, Va., Andrea Bowman and husband, Eric of Lewisville, Texas, Tim Ary and wife, Carolyn of Thayer, Mo., Denise Davis and husband, John of Mammoth Spring, Ark., Michele McBride of Wentzville, Mo., and several foster children that were cared for in his home for 25 years; his grandchildren, Saxton Hatman, Trenton Hatman, and Allison Hatman all of Pineville, Ark., Josh Madera, Chris Madera, and Kayla Madera, all of Booneville, Ark., Noah Hatman of Virginia, Evangeline Bowman of Lewisville, Texas, Zach Ary and fiancè, Brittany Bivins of Thayer, Mo., Nick Ary of Thayer, Mo., Leslie McIntyre and husband, Peter of Springfield, Mo., Wesley Davis of Bono, Ark., Katie Shockley, Addison Brown, and Nathan Brown, all of Wentzville, Mo; great grandchild, Jayden Madera of Booneville, Ark; his brothers-in-law, George Miller and wife, Dona of Springfield, Mo., John Miller and wife, Gayle of Canadensis, Penn., and Glen Fraley of Houston, Mo; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Andy Hatman; his father-in-law, Bynum Miller; his mother-in-law, Mildred Miller; his sisters-in-law, Donna Hatman and Neva Fraley; and his children, Andy Eugene Hatman, Jr. and Tony Ary. Gene served his country in the United States Air Force as Security Police and was in law enforcement serving as Deputy Sheriff of Oregon County and Chief of Police of Thayer, Mo. for most of his life. He also enjoyed buying, fixing up and selling vehicles. His favorite past time was sitting on the lake with a fishing pole with one of his many fishing buddies for hours at a time. He was a believer and a member of First Baptist Church of Thayer, Mo. for many years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, neighbor and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family, many friends and the community in which he lived. Funeral Services for Mr. Hatman were held Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Dr. George T. Miller officiating. Burial was in the Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the First Baptist Church Youth Ministry in Thayer. Contributions may be left at the funeral home. on November 20, 2013.2

     Donna Sue Cooper Donna Sue Hatman, 57, of Bryant, passed away Friday, December 28, 2007. She was born September 20, 1950, in Salem, AR, to the late Joe and Isaphine Wells Cooper. Donna retired from Levi Strauss after 21 years of service. She was a member of Windsong Church of Christ, formerly Sixth and Izard Church of Christ. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry Hatman; one son, Chad Hatman and wife Kerry of Bryant; three grandchildren, Baylee, Drew and Chance Hatman; six siblings, Hazel Nickerson, Dianne Ferrell and husband George, Johnny Cooper and wife Linda, James Cooper and wife Beth; Jean Stephens and husband Jerry, and Willimet Griffith; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Joe Cooper and Novella Garrison.1 She was born on September 20, 1950 at Salem, Fulton Co., Arkansas.2,1 As of circa 1969,her married name was Hatman.1 She married Jerry A.
