     John Leroy Gray John Leroy Gray, 85 of Stewartsville, was taken home by God on Friday May 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents; Nellie and Oakey Gray, brothers; Troy and Jerry Gray, sister Audrey Wilkerson, and his first wife; Vivian Cornett Gray. He is survived by his wife; Margaret C. Gray, Daughters; Debbie Nester and Donna Baker (Rick), brothers; Jackie Gray (Nancy), Danny Gray (Linda), sisters; Joyce Ball, Linda Rice and Dorothy Heins. Stepchildren; Margaret Hall, Jennifer Neighbors (Gary), Jeff Hall (Lisa), and Julie Hall. His 5 grandchildren; Kristy Baggett (Chris), Jeremy Mays, Jessica Stump (Justin), Adrianna Baker, and Crystal Stevens (James), 6 great-grandchildren; Emmitt Mays, Sawyer Baggett, Jaxon Baggett, Julianna Adams, Abigail Tilley, and Adilee Stephens, 8 step grandchildren, 14, step great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. A graveside service will follow at the Gray Family Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 12th floor of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their loving care.4 He was born on November 30, 1930 at Bedford Co., Virginia.3 He married Margaret Alice "Peggy" Collins, daughter of Clarence Andrew Collins and Maggie Volena Moran, on May 5, 1995 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2 John Leroy Gray died on May 6, 2016 at Bedford Co., Virginia, at age 85.4

     Dock Allen Newsome was buried at Ashland Cemetery, 1958 Belmont Street, Ashland, Boyd Co., Kentucky.2,3 He was born on November 29, 1955 at Ashland, Boyd Co., Kentucky.2,3,4 He married Teresa Marie Gullett, daughter of Carl Manuel Gullett and Henrietta Pennington, on August 21, 1982 at Boyd Co., Kentucky.1,3 Dock Allen Newsome died on March 23, 2010 at Ashland, Boyd Co., Kentucky, at age 54.2,3,4 He Dock Allen Newsome, 55, of Westwood, Ky., husband of Teresa Gullett Newsome, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital following a sudden illness. Dock was born Nov. 29, 1955, in Ashland, Ky., a son of the late William and Jo Ella Banks Newsome. He was a transport driver with the Carl Fannin Co., of the Baptist faith and a member of the Outcast Offroad Club. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and lost a brother, Kenneth Newsome, in in Vietnam in 1969. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Kenneth Newsome and wife Ranzi of Rush, Ky; two daughters, Heather Keeton and husband Josh of Westwood and Alisha Horner and husband Ron of Ashland; a brother, Mike Pickett of Ashland; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Aliyah and Kenzi. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Randy Patrick. Arrangements are under the direction of Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland. on March 25, 2010.3

Martinsville and formerly of Chatmoss Court, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville. She was born in Pittsylvania Countv, Oct. 23, 1918, daughter of the late Posey Lester Barbour and the late Annie Mae Tatum Barbour. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Lawrence Strickler Guthrie in 1989, a brother, Robert L. Barbour; and two infant children. She was a member of Beckham United Methodist Church, where she had served as Sunday School teacher, and a member of the United Methodist Women. She also was a former member of the Mount Olivet Home demonstration club. Surviving are two daughters. Ruby G. Martin and Virginia G. Sands, both of Martinsville; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Leona Durand of Newport News; and two brothers, William H. Mr. Martin was born on November 1, 1934, to the late Harold Martin and Elsie Minter Martin. He was married to Ruby Guthrie Martin for 60 years, who preceded him in death earlier this year. Mr. Martin attended Beckham United Methodist Church. He was the owner and operator of Martin’s Sales Agency for over 40 years. Mr. Martin was a member of the Fontaine Ruritan Club for 53 years and served in the past as district Governor and Lt. Governor of the Dan River district. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul B. Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by his daughter, Roxanne Martin of Martinsville; two sons, Ray Alan Martin Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Collinsville and Harold S. Martin of Martinsville; three grandchildren, Brian Martin, Elizabeth Witt and Heather L. Martin; and three great-grandchildren, Amber Martin, Romeo Alex Martin and Ivy Witt. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Burial Park. on October 14, 2014.2
