     Hattie Marie Taylor was buried at Union Cemetery, on the corner of 350E and 400N, Huntington Co., Indiana.¹ She was born in 1899 at Indiana.¹ As of circa 1926,her married name was Stephens.³ She married Andrew A. "Andy" Stephens, son of Smith Willis Stephens and Rozetta Lineback, circa 1926.^1,2,3 Hattie Marie Taylor died in 1970.¹

     Harry S. Stephens Harry S. Stephens, 83, of Bluffton, was called home to be with the Lord on Oct. 20, 2011. He was born on Feb. 11, 1928, in Huntington, to Andy and Hattie (Taylor) Stephens. He married to Avon Lund in Markle on Nov. 19, 1948; she survives. He enjoyed playing sports at West Union High School. He and Avon farmed in the Markle area for many years, eventually purchasing a farm northeast of Markle. Harry was later a co-owner of G&H Fertilizer in Markle and Bluffton. He was active as a parent/leader with the Boy Scout troop of Markle and enjoyed many camp outs and trips with the scouts. He participated in sports including basketball, softball and bowling. He was a member of the Markle United Methodist Church and joyfully served the Lord through Lay Witness Missions and InterVarsity Christian fellowship. Harry and Avon later moved to Florida for most of each year and they owned property there in Lake Placid. While there, he developed residential properties, designing and building custom homes. He was an avid fisherman and relished the chance to enjoy a waterfront home on a bass lake. In addition to fishing, Harry enjoyed travel with Avon, woodworking, and caring for his fish ponds. In his later years he developed a strong interest in researching his ancestors and succeeded in tracing his roots back to his great-great-grandfather – a pioneer farmer, born in 1804. He took delight in all of his family, including children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Other surviving relatives include a son, Kent (Linda) Stephens of Dublin, Ohio; a daughter, Patti (Ernie) Beck of Craigville; a sister, Audrey (Leonard) Swihart of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Kendra (Anthony) Elkins of Pickerington, Ohio and Joel (Megan) Stephens of Hilliard, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren, Jude Elkins, Jadon Elkins and Sullivan Stephens. Calling hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Sheets officiating. Burial will be at the Markle Cemetery.      Orlando Gene Stephens was born on March 4, 1934 at Indiana.^2,4 He married Meg Maggie Newsome in April, 1955 at Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana. Orlando Gene Stephens died on January 20, 2011 at Indiana at age 76.⁴

     Donald D. Stephens was born on October 22, 1936 at Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana.^4,2 He married Helen Waterson on August 16, 1992 at Whitley Co., Indiana.² Donald D. Stephens died on November 16, 2006 at Fort Wayne, Allen Co., Indiana, at age 70.^4,2 He Donald D. Stephens, 70, Columbia City, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 16, 2006) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Mr. Stephens worked as a property manager for Country Square Estates in Columbia City. Prior to that he was employed as a truck driver. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 98, Columbia City. Mr. Stephens was born Oct. 22, 1936, in Huntington to Paul and Opal Kunce Stephens. His marriage was to Helen Waterson on Aug. 16, 1992, in Whitley County. His wife survives. Also surviving are a son, David Stephens, Huntington; a daughter, Donna Stephens, Huntington; three brothers, Paul Stephens Jr., Newburg W.V; Gene Stephens, Indianapolis; and Roger Stephens, Eloy, Ariz; and a sister, Sanora "Sue" Boggs, Huntington. A brother, James Stephens, preceded Mr. Stephens in death. There will be no calling hours or funeral services.      Tommy E. Stephens was born on April 8, 1943 at Huntington Co., Indiana.¹ He died on March 31, 2012 at Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana, at age 68.¹ He Tommy E. Stephens, 68, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 1:18 p.m. at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, Huntington. Mr. Stephens was a member of Pathfinder Services. He was born April 8, 1943, in Huntington County to Solomon S. and Mary Crail Stephens. He is survived by a sister, Janet Black, of Sparta, TN. There are no calling hours or services. Interment will take place at a later date. Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. on April 3, 2012.¹
