Richard Dale Luckado was buried at Willamette Memorial Park, 2640 Old Salem Road NE, Albany, Linn Co., Oregon.2 He Richard Dale Luckado was born December 6th, 1943 to Leslie and Ruth Luckado in Hamilton, Texas. He was later joined by 3 siblings, Eugene, Patricia and Sandra. The family moved to several places including Roswell, NM, Medina, NY and Portland, OR. He would come to consider Oakland, California and Portland, Oregon as his home towns. Richard asked for a home in the church in Napa Valley, CA during singing school in 1958. He was later baptized at Golden Gate Primitive Baptist Church in Oakland, CA. Dick attended Castlemont and Fremont High Schools in Oakland, California. He would later complete his GED. In 1962, Richard answered the call of the draft, entering the United States Army and serving in Korea as a guard in the Infantry. Richard was a jack of many trades. He held many jobs over the years, including working as a rigger in the oil fields, for a tire re-capping company, moving furniture for North American Van Lines, and a shipping and receiving clerk for K-Mart. Most recently, Richard prepared taxes. He also loved to fish and would often take his nieces and nephew along. Richard and his mom used to put fish on the kids' hooks to make them think they caught a fish. Then there was that time he went on a charter boat on the Pacific Ocean and busted up his leg. He had to have surgery and a huge cast for months. He moved in with Sandy and her family while he recovered. He also would take his nieces and nephews hiking on the Wildwood Trail through Forrest Park. Richard was tough as nails, surviving multiple heart attacks, and several serious car accidents. However, he had a big heart. Growing up he protected his sisters, he was an animal lover. He was constantly helping people in need and would do anything for a little kid. He was even known to feed hungry kids suffering during the war in Korea. Richard loved to tease. He'd jerk the rug out from under you, move your chair before you sat down or throw cold water on you if you forgot to lock the door when you took a shower. September 20th, 1994, at the age of 50, Richard married the love of his life, Deborah Smith in Reno, Nevada, making him a step-dad to Stephen, Jeremiah, and Christina. The new family lived in Santa Cruz, CA until 1999 when they moved to Estacada, OR to be closer to Richard's mother who had become ill. Later, in 2005, Richard and Deborah moved into Ruth's old house on the property with Pat and Jerry in Estacada. Throughout the years, Richard and Deborah owned several boats which they took camping and fishing. Richard was also a member of the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church where he and Deborah would attend. He was a loving husband and step-father, he was also deeply devoted to his mother and loved his entire family. Richard is survived by his loving wife Deborah, step children: Stephen Roberts, Jeremiah and Christian Smith; one grand-daughter, Daejah Roberts; a brother, Eugene Luckado; sisters, Patricia Miracle and Sandra MacLaren, Aunts Louise Scalzo and Bobbie Shackelford (who was more like a sister than an Aunt), and an uncle, Elder E.L. Horne, His nieces and nephews Kevin Miracle, Melinda McClelland, Kimberly Keene, Denise Eichstadt, Mechelle Stanley, and Michael MacLaren and 13 grand-nieces and nephews.3 He was born on December 6, 1943 at Hamilton, Hamilton Co., Texas.2,3 He married Deborah L. Smith on September 20, 1994 at Reno, Washoe Co., Nevada.5,3 Richard Dale Luckado The man struck and killed by a truck in a Clackamas Town Center parking lot today has been identified as Richard D. Luckado, 68 of Estacada. Sgt. Adam Phillips, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office spokesman, said an Allied Waste Services truck was backing up in a service corridor road near the mall's theater complex about 10:35 a.m., when it struck Luckado. Clackamas Town Center Security provided first aid until Clackamas Fire District 1 firefighter-paramedics arrived at the mall, 12000 S.E. 82nd Ave. However, Luckado died at the scene. Sean Roberts of Clackamas said he he got off TriMet's 155 bus to eat at the mall's food court before continuing on to classes at Mt. Hood Community College. "I could see the truck backing up and the guy right behind it," said Roberts, 27. "At first, I didn't trust my depth perception. But then, before I could yell, I saw the truck hit him." Roberts said he and another witness ran up and yelled to the driver to pull forward because Luckado was pinned under the right rear tires. "I took his pulse - and there was nothing," Roberts said. "I don't know how to do chest compressions, but a Town Center security guy arrived in less than a minute and began doing chest compressions." Phillips identified the driver of the truck as Clay Alan Faulkner, 51, of Milwaukie. Phillips said Faulkner, Allied Waste Services and the Clackamas Town Center are cooperating fully with the continuing investigation.      Patricia A. Luckado Patricia (Pat) Ann Miracle was born December 2, 1947 in Roswell New Mexico to Ruth and Leslie Luckado. Pat graduated from Roswell High School in 1965. She had a deep love for the Lord and was baptized in 1956. She enjoyed signing praises to the Lord and fellowshipping with her Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Pat met the love of her life when they were just 8 years old. Jerry Miracle and Pat were married in 1970. In September of 1971, the happy couple welcomed their son Kevin and then in February 1976, they welcomed their daughter Denise. In 1979, the family moved to Estacada, Oregon. This is where they would call home until 2012. Pat spent the majority of her working life at Safeway as an accountant, which she loved! In 2000, she took a new position at Moda ODS where she retired in 2013. Unexpectedly, on July 10th Pat was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. She was a fighter, some might even say feisty! Pat left us early in the morning on January 2, 2021 in Vancouver, Washington. She was never alone as family was by her side every minute until the end. Anyone who knew Pat, knew she was quick witted and very funny! She had the best one-liners this side of the Mississippi. Not only was she funny but she was also talented! She loved to sew, quilt, and scrapbook. If you were lucky enough to receive one of her handmade quilts, pillowcases or kitchen towels, you know just how talented and generous she was. Pat loved her family with all her heart, especially her grandkids Dakoda, Hailey, Chelsea and Devin. She truly lived for moments of celebration when she could shower the grandkids with gifts of love, time, and food! Pat will forever be remembered by her husband of 50 years, Jerry and their children Kevin (Becky) daughter Denise (Jeff), sister Sandy and brother Eugene. Her four grandchildren, Dakoda, Hailey, Chelsea and Devin who will miss her dearly. In March of 2021, she would have been able to spoil her first great-granddaughter whom she already loved so much. Pat was proceeded in death by her father Leslie, loving mother Ruth and brother Richard. The family would like to express their gratitude for the love and care she received from the staff at Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, Washington.3 She was born on December 2, 1947 at Roswell, Chaves Co., New Mexico.3 As of August 15, 1970,her married name was Miracle.2 She married Jerry Anderson Miracle on August 15, 1970 at Reno, Washoe Co., Nevada.2,3 Patricia A.
