     Tanya Corinna Lovern Tanya Lovern Eads, 44, of Roanoke, passed unexpectedly on Monday, January 14, 2019. She was a call center operator with Wells Fargo Bank. Tanya was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Alvis Lovern; and her grandparents. Survivors include her sons, Braydon Eads and Dez Addams; her mother, Gloria Fern Sadler Lovern; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Craig Taylor; nephews, Micah and Corban Taylor; and many other relatives and friends.⁴ She was born on June 29, 1974 at Radford, Virginia.² As of May 13, 1995,her married name was Eads.³ She married Anthony David Eads on May 13, 1995 at Pulaski Co., Virginia.³ Tanya Corinna Lovern and Anthony David Eads were divorced on January 22, 1999 at Pulaski Co., Virginia.⁵ Tanya Corinna Lovern died on January 14, 2019 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 44.⁴

     Winfred Lee "Buddy" Sanders was born on October 21, 1958 at Giles Co., Virginia.^2,3 He married Bonnie Faye Stevers on August 3, 1979 at Giles Co., Virginia.² Winfred Lee "Buddy" Sanders and Bonnie Faye Stevers were divorced on November 11, 1982 at Giles Co., Virginia.⁶ Winfred Lee "Buddy" Sanders married Rhonda Darlene Blankenship on December 21, 1982 at Giles Co., Virginia.^2,5,7 Winfred Lee "Buddy" Sanders died on November 15, 2009 at Virginia at age 51.⁵ He Winfred Lee (Buddy) Sanders, 51, of Narrows, Va., formerly of Big Stoney Creek, died November 15, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred Henry Sanders and Agatha Martin Sanders. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Blankenship Sanders; daughter and Keshia Dawn Sanders Plyes and Danny Cale Pyles Jr; sister a and brother-in-law, Brenda and Said Shama; niece, Kathleen VanSchoyck; nephew, Eddie Keogh. Buddy fought a very courageous battle against brain and lung cancer for two and a half years.      Rhonda Darlene Blankenship Rhonda Blankenship Sanders, 59 of Narrows, VA departed this life December 11, 2021 in the loving care of her family and Pulaski Health and Rehab. Born March 4, 1962, in Giles County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Norman Jack and Gertrude Chambers Blankenship. Rhonda enjoyed visiting family and friends and going out for a drive with her boyfriend Gary. She was a deli clerk at Food Time in Narrows and worked at the arsenal in years past. In addition to her parents, Rhonda is preceded in death by her husband, “Buddy” Sanders; a brother, Jeffrey Blankenship; and sisters, Gloria Blankenship, and Brenda “Kay” Lang. Left to cherish her memory to are her daughter, Keshia Pyles (Caleb Taylor) of Pearisburg; grandchildren, Liya Pyles, and Izaah Pyles; brothers, Perry Blankenship of Narrows, and Charles “Big John” Blankenship (Dreama); sisters, Teresa Riddle (Allen) of Narrows, and Lisa Robertson of Elizabethton, TN; boyfriend, Gary “Possum” Bowles of Pearisburg; and many nieces and nephews.³ She was born on March 4, 1962 at Giles Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 As of December 21, 1982,her married name was Sanders.¹ She married Winfred Lee "Buddy" Sanders, son of Winfred Henry Sanders and Agatha Lee Martin, on December 21, 1982 at Giles Co., Virginia.^1,4,3 Rhonda Darlene Blankenship died on December 11, 2021 at Pulaski, Pulaski Co., Virginia, at age 59.³

     George Henry Beckner and Betty Lou Sanders were divorced.¹ George Henry Beckner Mr. George Henry "Georgie" Beckner, 87, of Callaway, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, in his hometown. Born on May 31, 1937, also in Callaway, George spent his entire life rooted in the community he loved. George received most of his education in nearby Rocky Mount. Though he did not graduate from high school, he built a successful and fulfilling career through hard work and dedication. From an early age, George worked on his parents’ apple farm, learning the value of labor and perseverance. As a young man, he joined the family’s logging business, where he contributed significantly to its operations. Later in life, he transitioned to a role at Lane Furniture Company, where he worked diligently until his retirement. George was known for his strong work ethic and deep love for his family. He shared 28 devoted years of marriage with his beloved wife Velma Beckner. Together they built a life filled with love and mutual respect. George cherished Velma deeply and held her as the center of his world. He was a proud father to two sons, Donald Stalnaker (Melissa) of Waynesboro, Virginia and David Stalnaker (Jen) of Roanoke, Virginia; two daughters, Rebecca McGuillion (Jeff) of Roanoke, Virginia and Sharon Eastham (Mike), also of Roanoke. His legacy continues through his granddaughters, Blaire Stalnaker of Waynesboro and Chelsie Stalnaker of North Carolina. George is also remembered by his sister, Claria Gould (Tom) of Wheeling, Illinois; nephews, Kenny Roope (Sharon) of Ahoskie, North Carolina; Jimmy Roope (DJ) of Tennessee and Michael Roope (Donna) of Richmond, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry McKinley Beckner and Ola Mae Beckner; son, Robert Stalnaker; sisters, Louise Beckner Ray and Dorathy Clifton; brothers, Houston Beckner and Aubrey Beckner. A man of many talents and interests, George enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and crafting moonshine—pursuits that reflected both his creativity and connection to the land around him. He had a sharp sense of humor that could bring tears from laughter but was equally known for speaking the truth plainly. To know George was truly to love him. In matters of faith, George was raised Southern Baptist but later found spiritual fulfillment alongside Velma at Highland United Methodist Church in Callaway. Their shared worship became an important part of their life together. Interment will follow in the Beckner Family Cemetery. George's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
