Mrs. Spangler passed away on Aug. 29, 2014, in a Jacksonville nursing home. She was born Dec. 16, 1933, in Paris, Texas to Luther Earnest and Opal Zetta Sain. She had been a resident of Palestine and Jacksonville, for the past nine years. She previously resided in Corpus Christi, where she graduated from Ray High School and Del Mar College, earning a degree in nursing. She was a nurse at Spohn Hospital and in private duty nursing before retiring to Rockport, Texas. She was an active member in her church and enjoyed working with children in child evangelism Good News clubs. She loved her family and always looked upon the needs of others many times before her own needs. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry Norman Spangler, her brother Luther Earnest Sain, Jr. a sister-in-law Ann Sain, her nephew Lance E. Sain, and great-nephew Larry E. Sain, Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda K. Bowen, husband Jack of Jacksonville, a son, Stephen A. Spangler, wife Anne of Rockport, six grandchildren, Jack Bowen and wife Paula, Chris Bowen and wife Annie, Todd Bowen and wife Leah and families, Ashley Spangler, Kylie and Kara Spangler; five great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jack Wayne Bowen, Shelbie Bowen, Clayton and Dylan Bowen; a niece, Susie Jackson and family; two nephews, Larry and Lonny Sain and families. on September 4, 2014.¹

     Joy L. Staton died at Nueces Co., Texas.¹ She was born circa 1966.¹ As of August 21, 1993,her married name was Spangler.¹ She married Stephen Andrew Spangler, son of Henry Norman Spangler and Charlene Marie Sain, on August 21, 1993 at Nueces Co., Texas.¹ Joy L.
