Services will be conducted at the Myers Funeral Home in Elkview by the Rev. Keith Monday on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Elk Hills Memorial Park at Big Chimney. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Betty was born Sept. 27, 1939 in Walton, a daughter of the late Earl and Goldie Patrick Moore of Walton. She retired from B.F. Goodrich in Spencer and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Lee Huffman, and a sister, Mary Moore. She is survived by two sons, Freddie, Jr. and Larry (Billie Jo) Huffman, all of Walton; a daughter, Debra (Danny) Runnion of Spencer; grandchildren, Scott and Casey Huffman, both of Lexington, Ky., and Addison and Brody Huffman, both of Walton; sisters, Georgia (Carl) Pence of Charleston and Joann (Webster) Larch of Walton; a special brother-in-law, Otmer (Retta) Huffman, and additional brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald (Barb) Huffman, Connie (Bud) Westfall, Terry Huffman, Carolyn (Billy) Yateman, Kathy (David) DuPree and Betty (Donald) Baker; and several special nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife; Dona Cowger; daughters: Connie Weaver (Steve), Nashville, TN, Joni Johnson (Fred), Washington, WV, Tammy Murphy, Washington, WV, Misty Hewitt (Aaron), Walker, WV; sons: Larry Steinbicker, Lake Panasoffkee, FL, Bryan Cowger, Washington, WV; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Cowger (Sue), Nitro, WV; sister, Barbara Pettit, AZ.
