She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd D. Hunt, in 1972; two sisters; and five brothers. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, the Rev. Joe Busch officiating. A private family burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Also, five grandchildren, Michael Short, Cara Sams, Kevin Fields, Scott Taylor and Andria Taylor, and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Chessie Naylor, of Elkview; one brother-in-law, Gerald Taylor; and seven sisters-in-law, Juanita Phillips, Loretta Dodd, Amber Jones, Phyllis Garrett, Wanda Hill and Mildred Martinez, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and infant son, six brothers and four sisters. Services will be conducted at the Myers Funeral Home in Elkview by the Rev. Keith Monday on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Elk Hills Memorial Park at Big Chimney. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Special thanks to her care-givers for the past two months, Frances Oliver and Sandra Rollyson, and the excellent staff on 4-North, especially Todd and James, at CAMC Memorial. on November 17, 2009.3

Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jerry Board officiating. Burial will follow in Droddy/Canterbury Cemetery, Walton. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Betty's name to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311. on November 2, 2015.1

He is survived by his wife; Dona Cowger; daughters: Connie Weaver (Steve), Nashville, TN, Joni Johnson (Fred), Washington, WV, Tammy Murphy, Washington, WV, Misty Hewitt (Aaron), Walker, WV; sons: Larry Steinbicker, Lake Panasoffkee, FL, Bryan Cowger, Washington, WV; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Cowger (Sue), Nitro, WV; sister, Barbara Pettit, AZ. He was predeceased by sister Joyce Lee Cowger and daughter, Lelia Rae Cowger.2 He married Donna Madeline Hunt, daughter of Lloyd Dayton Hunt and Ruth Hazeline Dodd.1,2 Lalie Ray Cowger Jr. was born on November 30, 1935. He died on April 19, 2016 at Lake Panasoffkee, Sumter Co., Florida, at age 80.2
