     Florine Craven Mrs. Florine Craven Foster, age 95 of Wilkesboro, widow of Olin Foster, passed away Thursday, February 09, 2017 at Wilkes Senior Village. Funeral services will be held 2:00, Saturday, February 11th, 2017 at Reins Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Frank Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home. Florine was born October 22, 1921 in Wilkes County to Joshua Samuel and Myrtle Sloop Craven. She was a homemaker and a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church where she served as church secretary/clerk for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers; William Atlee Craven, Paul Aaron Craven, Samuel Jefferson Craven, Henry Edward Craven, Ted B. Craven, Joseph Allen Craven, Donald Wilson Craven, Ralph Lindbergh Craven and three infant brothers, sisters; Mary Louise Elizabeth Craven, Marion Elmina Craven Miller, Marie Ella Mae Craven Patterson and two infant sisters. Mrs. Foster is survived by two sisters; Edith Craven Mathis and Agnes Virginia Craven Brock, niece; Barbara Cooper and husband Rev. Frank Cooper, and several other nieces and nephews.² She was buried at Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery, Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., North Carolina.² Her married name was Foster.¹ She married Olin Furches Foster, son of Furches Olin Foster and Elizabeth Walsh.^1,2 Florine Craven was born on October 22, 1921 at Wilkes Co., North Carolina.² She died on February 9, 2017 at North Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., North Carolina, at age 95.²

Funeral services will be held Friday 3:00 PM, December 21, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Prayer Chapel with Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 until 2:45 at the church prayer chapel prior to the service. Mrs. Foster was born December 23, 1929 in Wilkes County to Avery and Treva West Church. Before retiring, she was a case worker for the Wilkes County Health Department. Mrs. Foster was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Foster; a granddaughter, LeAnn Farthing and a brother, Kenneth G. Church. She is survived by: four daughters, Dianne Davis and husband, Tony of Wilkesboro, Sharon Farthing and husband, Danny of Boone, Debra Michael of Purlear, Donna Marsh and husband, Mahlon of Wilkesboro; one son, Gregory Foster and wife, Judy of Seymour, TN; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family requests no food. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund, 239 Champion Mt.
