     Frances Lee Williams was buried at Old Salem Cemetery, Fletcher, Henderson Co., North Carolina.2 She Arden - Frances Lee Williams Todd, 95, daughter of the late Belle Williams of Asheville and Cecil Thurston (C.T.) Williams of Seminole, Florida, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the Brian Center in Weaverville. Frances survived her husband, George A. Todd and her sister, Louise Williams Timm. She is survived by a daughter, Belle Ellebrecht of Weaverville; grandson, David Ellebrecht II; two greatgrandsons, Brandon and David III of Fairview; her son, George Albert Todd and his wife, Judy, of Seneca, S.C; and is also survived by many friends. She graduated from Asheville High School in 1933. She was a good mother and friend. She worked hard all her life, and had many skills including crocheting, ceramics, pottery, porcelain doll making, sewing, gardening, quilting, cross stitching, rug hooking and baking cakes and pies. She loved her grandsons and attended their sports activities for many years. She loved to work puzzles and read mysteries. She was a faithful member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Asheville for over 60 years and loved her Whatsoever Bible Class and her church friends. She studied piano as a child and loved singing in the choir. She was a fine Christian woman who lived her faith in God. She was loved and will be missed. The funeral service will be held Saturday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.1 She was born on September 4, 1914 at Georgia.2 As of June 25, 1938,her married name was Todd.3 She married George Albert Todd Sr., son of Mack Arthur Todd and Ida Elizabeth "Lizzie" Creasman, on June 25, 1938 at Buncombe Co., North Carolina.1,2,3,4 Frances Lee Williams died on September 9, 2009 at Weaverville, Buncombe Co., North Carolina, at age 95.1,2

     Samuel Audrey "Sam" Taylor was buried at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 962 Old US 70 Highway, Black Mountain, Buncombe Co., North Carolina.5 He Arden –Samuel (Sam) A. Taylor, 67, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 in a local hospital. A native of Buncombe County, Sam was son of Broadus and Lillian Todd Taylor of Asheville. He retired as an engineer with the Railroad and was a peace-time veteran of the United States Air Force. Sam was an avid golfer and love to cook for his family and friends. Surviving in addition to his parents is a daughter, Leigh Anne Bishop and her husband, Mark of Simpsonville, a son, Joseph Taylor of Virginia, two sisters, Pat Earwood and her husband, Jim of Arden, Carolyn Moore of Arden, a brother, Willis Broadus Taylor and his wife, Mary of Asheville. Sam is also survived by three grandchildren, Samuel Taylor and Mason and Sarah Bishop and many nieces and nephews. Services for Sam will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Revs. Charles Coxie and John Powers officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Western Carolina Veteran's Cemetery with military honors presented by the Buncombe County Veteran's Memorial Team. The family will receive friends one prior to the service and at other times will be at the home of Sam's parents.3 He was born on March 25, 1943 at Asheville, Buncombe Co., North Carolina.6,3,4 He died on June 16, 2010 at Asheville, Buncombe Co., North Carolina, at age 67.3,6
