     Elmer Gene Webb was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.^5,6 He was born on February 22, 1941 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^3,6 He married Rachel Ellan Altice on November 3, 1962 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,6 Elmer Gene Webb died on January 2, 2013 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 71.^4,5,6 He Elmer Gene Webb, 71, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, after a brief illness. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after more than 30 years of service, and enjoyed listening to blue grass music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Lettie Webb; and a brother, Carter Webb and his wife, Delores. Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Rachel Webb; daughters, Pamela Blankenship and husband, Ronnie; and Tina Webb; a special grandson, Mitchell Webb Blankenship; brother Don Webb and wife, Gale; sister, Gatha Radford; and serveral nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff on 6 West at Lewis Gale Medical Center for their excellent care and concern. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Jay Fields. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on January 4, 2013.⁵

Akers was born on October 18, 1914 at Callaway, Franklin Co., Virginia.^4,5,8,7 He died on March 14, 2009 at Franklin Co., Virginia, at age 94.^5,8,6,7 He Otha (O.P.) Akers, 94, of Callaway, went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2009. He was born October 18, 1914, a son of the late E. Garry and Bevelene Akers. He was also preceded in death by his brother E. Garry Jr., two sons, Gary Lee and Harry Lynn Akers. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 74 years Florence W. Akers; one son, Steven Akers and wife Vicki; one daughter, Cassandra Milliron and husband Jack; four grandchildren and spouses, Jay Milliron (Stephanie), Troy Akers (Amy), Monica Shepard (Gary), Joshua Akers (Lynn); eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are John Corel a very close cousin, just like a brother, who lived with the family several years, Mark Cannaday, a special devoted friend. O.P. was a life long member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church and really appreciated and loved his many friends. He was a contract hauler for many years in Franklin County. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. on March 16, 2009.⁷

Sublett and sister, Shirley Stancil. She was a longtime member of Preston Oaks Baptist Church. Roxie worked at Brendle's, Woolco and Peoples Drugs. A loving mother, she is survived by her sons, U.S. Army S/Sgt. Bruce Webb and wife, Cindy and Tony L. Webb and fiance, Carol Hall; daughter, Robin W. Brooks and husband, David W. Brooks; grandchildren, Justin Webb and wife, Shena, Tony M. Webb, Taylor Webb and Amber Brooks; two greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Beverly Jones and husband, Clarence, Sharon Gilbert and husband, Jim and Bonnie Gill; two brothers, David Sublett and wife, Joann and Johnny Sublett and wife, Connie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on August 5, 2008.²

Ronnie was born in Roanoke, Va., in 1964 to the late Malcolm Wayne Blankenship and Patricia Sue Bush Blankenship of Roanoke. He was husband to Pamela Jean Webb Blankenship; father to Mitchell Webb Blankenship; brother to Bo Blankenship; his sister-in-law is Libby Oechsli Blankenship; his nephews are Tyler James Blankenship (Soni) and Lucas Oechsli Blankenship; his sister-in-law is Tina Webb; his mother-in-law is Rachel Webb; and many more loving uncles, aunts, and cousins survive him. Ronnie's very recent, and most proud recognition was by the American Culinary Federation President for Ronnie's time, talents, and contributions to the organization. He will be recognized In July 2024 in Arizona, at the ACF National Convention where he will receive an award, the American Culinary Federation's Presidential Medallion. A graduate of Patrick Henry High School, Ronnie received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ferrum College, Nutritional Science from University of Florida, Certified Executive Chef, Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional, Certified Food Protection Manager, Food Management Professional, HACCP Certified, Accredited Culinary Evaluator, CRM Proctor, ServSafe instructor/ proctor, Career Studies Professor and Dietitian. He worked for over 45 years in Culinary Arts and Food Service, held positions on the American Culinary Federation Southwestern Virginia Chapter Board, and was the American Culinary Federation Southwestern Virginia Chapter Vice President in 2011. Ronnie was a member of the National Ice Carvers Association, the World Association of Chefs and the Association of Food Professionals and Nutritionists. He had an extremely notable culinary career which included Executive Chef at the famous Library Restaurant in Roanoke during the 1980s, worked at world famous area resorts including The Homestead, Greenbrier, Snowshoe, and seasonally at Nags Head, NC, before settling down in Roanoke and starting a hospitality consulting firm, Crescent Creek Consulting, where he made many friends and was affiliated with many great restaurants, hotels and country clubs throughout the United States. Ronnie helped young careers, more recently working with young culinary enthusiasts and young professionals at Lynchburg Parks and Recreation and Central Virginia Community College. He was also recognized for Ice Sculptures throughout Virginia. Ronnie was equally notable as an area musician as he was the youngest musician to ever record at the great Harold Thompson's local recording studio Threshold Recording. He played drums with Kelley's Music founder Richard Kelley in Foremost and Goldust. He made appearances on the Ryman Auditorium Stage, colosseums, and state fairs. As a drummer, he played in many bands and national acts, including Czar, Ocean, Alpha Centauri, Eye of the Storm, Blind Rhino, Brotherhood, Prime-Time, T-Bone Jones, Rapid Transit, Backroads Band, Nashville Showman, Crypto Cats Band and many others including the Patrick Henry High School Band of Gold, the choir band, Pep Band and the jazz band in high school and college. He was also noted for Blues Guitar performances, guitar at Relay for Life events and piano and guitar for special church events throughout the area. Ronnie was a man of many artistic talents including Ice Carver, landscape painter, and poet. He was a proud supporter of Relay for Life and Kiwanis International. Thanks to all his friends and family. Interment will follow the funeral service in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on May 15, 2024.³

     Bruce Carter Webb Sergeant First Class Bruce Carter Webb, 64 of Rockingham Co. passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at The Center for Acute Hospice Care in Charlottesville, VA. Sergeant Webb was born in Roanoke, VA on October 15, 1958. Preceding him in death are his parents. Father & stepmother, Carter Jackson Webb & Delores Martin Webb. And mother, Roxy Gray Sublett (Webb). Also, his beloved service dog, Harley. Bruce proudly served his country for 32 years in the United States Army where he retired a Ranger & Sergeant First Class. The relationships he built in the service were unmatched. Of numerous earned awards & recognition, what mattered most to him were his men in Charlie Company of the 3/116 Infantry. Those like Platoon Sgt. Hopkins, 1st Sgt. Chandler, Sgt. Whetzel, his "#1 son," Specialist Eppard, Specialist Ferrell & in memory, Specialist Mosko. Also, Sgt. Roger Whineguard. Sergeant Webb loved his country. But, his greatest treasures in life, were his family. Left to cherish his memory, are his three children & six grandchildren. Son, Justin Sidney Webb (Sheina) & their three children, Mikayela, Haylie & Carter. Daughter, Taylor Webb Perdue (Mike) & their son Nolan. And daughter, Mary Webb (Arun) & her two children, Ashlynn & Benjamin. Also, Bruce's brother Tony Webb & sister Robin Brooks (David). Numerous family & an abundance of friends will remember Bruce fondly. A graveside service will be held at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA.⁵ He was buried at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, Pulaski Co., Virginia.^5,8 He was born on October 15, 1958 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,3,4,8,5 He married Katrina Octavia Alderson on May 30, 1981 at Roanoke, Virginia.² Bruce Carter Webb married Katherine Leigh McManus on July 22, 1989 at Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² Bruce Carter Webb and Katherine Leigh McManus were divorced on April 28, 1999 at Augusta Co., Virginia.⁴ Bruce Carter Webb married Cindy Leigh Chambers on January 14, 2006 at Augusta Co., Virginia.² Bruce Carter Webb died on April 16, 2023 at Charlottesville, Virginia, at age 64.^5,8

     Robin Leslie Webb Robin Webb Brooks, 59, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 5, 1966, in Roanoke, Robin was the daughter of the late Carter Webb and Roxie Webb. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Webb. Robin dedicated 36 years of service as a Pharmacy Technician with Kroger, where she was known for her kindness, dedication, and caring spirit. She cherished spending time with family and friends, especially at the Roanoke Elks Lodge #197. Robin enjoyed watching movies, reading, golfing with her husband, and treating herself to getting her nails done. She was actively involved in the Elks Lodge Thanksgiving Food Drive and Veterans Dinners, always willing to lend a helping hand to others in her community. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, David Wayne Brooks; daughter, Amber Brooks; brother, Tony Webb; sister-in-law, Melissa Sorrells; brother-in-law, Mark Brooks; nieces, Ashley Jennings and Morgan Will; nephew, Mason Brooks; and her beloved in-laws, Patricia Brooks and David Brooks, along with many extended family members and friends. Robin will be remembered for her warm heart, loyal friendship, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
