Surviving are his son, Chris Gibson; sisters, Corlis Boitnott and Carol White; brother, Edgar Vernon Gibson, Jr; several nieces and nephews.      James Ernest White was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,3 He was born on August 25, 1946 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2 He married Carol Mae Gibson, daughter of Edgar Vernon Gibson Sr. and Margie Garlent Stump, on May 30, 1968 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2 James Ernest White died on October 20, 1985 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 39.² He James Ernest White, age 39, of Rt. 4, Salem, died Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Carol G. White; two daughters, Tonya White, Lynda White; one son, Michael White; his mother and father, Jasper (Ernest) and Genevieve (Liz) White, three sisters, Mrs. John (Linda) Early, Mrs. Mike (Shirley) Capito, Mrs. John (Brenda) Wheeler; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Crawford; a special aunt, Frances Crawford, all of Salem. Surviving are his wife, Corlis Boitnott; two sons, James Mitchell Boitnott, Jeremiah Dandridge Boitnott, both of the home; his parents, James and Annie Boitnott, Boones Mill; three brothers, Joe Boitnott, Callaway, David Boitnott, Rocky Mount, Charles Boitnott, Burnt Chimney; three sisters, Kathy Bointnott, Alexandria, Joyce Bennett and Goldie Moore, both of Rocky Mount; grandmother, Mrs. Lelia Boitnott, Boones Mill; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. on June 6, 1994.⁴
