     Charles Edward Fout was buried at Montgomery Memorial Park, Route 60, London, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.³ He Charles Edward (Shorty) Fout, 81, of Charlton Heights passed away peacefully January 16, 2018, at Hubbard Hospice House after a short illness. He was born December 31, 1936 in Handley, WV. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Nancy Curry Fout; and his children Carrie Elizabeth Fout (deceased), Cathy Fout of Delbarton, Edie Cochran Lewis (Jason) of Morgantown, Andrea Fout Tinsley (Scot) of Scott Depot, Charles “Phillip” Fout (Stephanie) of Charlton Heights; grandchildren Amanda Treber (Alex), Caitlin Ramirez (Adrian), Emily Cochran, Ashley Cochran and Benjamin Tinsley; great-granddaughter Yanibel Ramirez; extended family and countless friends. Charlie started his mining career as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Cannelton Coal Company and retired from Patriot Coal forty years later. He also spent many years working at the Exxon Triway and drove a school bus. He spent his retirement years working (piddling) at LKM Auto in Glen Ferris. Charlie was a 55 year member of Coal Valley Masonic Lodge #74, A.F. &A.M., Scottish Rite Bodies, Beni Kedem Shrine and Order of Eastern Star Kanawha Chapter #38. He will be remembered most for his acts of kindness and pay it forward attitude. Whether you knew him by Charles, Charlie, Shorty, Phil, Phillip, Fout, or Papaw, he was a stranger to no one. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice for the wonderful care he received during his illness. Service will be at 11AM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Elder James Dempsey officiating. Coleman, daughter of John Calvin Coleman and Beatrice Augusta Murray.¹ Ralph Franklin Griffith was born on January 3, 1915 at Marmet, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^3,4 He died on April 18, 1985 at Marmet, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 70.^2,3 He Ralph F. Griffith, 70, of 8614 MacCorkle Ave, Marmet, died Thursday at home after a long illness. He was a retired employee of Du Pont and the former owner of Griff's Pet Shop of Marmet. Surviving: wife, Virginia; daughter, Rosalie Hastings Griffith of Marmet; son, Frank of Clearwater, Fla; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, with the Rev. Leonard Myers officiating. Burial will be in Marmet Cemetery. He was born January 11, 1940, in Charleston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Virginia Coleman Griffith; and grandparents, John and Beatrice Coleman and Claude and Ollie Griffith. Frank was a Christian and a member of Marmet First Baptist Church, was a 1957 graduate of Charleston High School, a cadet at VPI, a graduate of WV Institute of Technology in Montgomery, and did graduate studies at George Washington University. He had worked at numerous nuclear facilities and later formed his own consulting firm. Surviving are sister, Rosalie Hastings and her husband Paul of Marmet; nieces, Mary Browning (Jamie) and Leslie Nichols (Nick) of Marmet; nephew, David Hastings of Liberty; five great-nephews, Eddie Cocharan, Josh Cochran, Michael Hastings, and Christian and Jordan Nichols; two great-nieces, Whitney Cochran and Lydia Hastings; great-great-nephew, J.R. Cochran; and three great-great-nieces, Autumn Cochran, Baylee Griffith, and Aubrey Cochran; aunts, Bea Clark of South Charleston, Dilys and Eugene Coleman of North Carolina, and Kay Coleman of Laporte, Texas; cousins, Charles Fout of Charlton Heights, Kathy Coleman of LaPorte, Texas, Tommy Coleman of Florida, Donna Zirkle of South Charleston, Doug Clark of North Carolina, Gary Coleman of North Carolina, Kelly and Craig Coleman. Frank is survived by several cousins who have been lifelong friends, Terry and Jane Fontalbert, and Margaret "Sis" Fontalbert; friend, Harry Markham; and numerous other cousins and friends. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, with Pastor Rick Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Marmet Cemetery. on March 8, 2009.³
