Timothy James Hudnall was buried at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 W. Cleveland Road, Granger, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.1,2 He was born on April 13, 1983 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.1 He died on February 28, 2010 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 26.1 He SOUTH BEND - Timothy James Hudnall, 26, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Sunday morning. Tim was born in South Bend on April 13, 1983, to Dave and Julie (Keultjes) Hudnall. Tim is survived by son, Jackson; fiancée, Sarah Thomas; parents, Dave and Julie Hudnall; brothers, Justin Hudnall (Tiffany) and Lucas Hudnall (Ashley); sister, Kalina Hudnall; nephew, Blake; niece/goddaughter, Annabelle; and goddaughter, Madelyn. He is also survived by grandfather, Ira Hudnall (Wanda); grandmother, Joan Keultjes; aunts and uncles, John Hudnall (Lori), Donald Hudnall (Shelly), Chad Hudnall (Cathy), Joe Keultjes (Beth), Jeff Keultjes (Julie), Jim Keultjes (Kim), Jennifer Adonokis (Nick), Jerome Keultjes (Jill) and Joy Kostielney (Andy); dozens of cousins and countless other extended family members. He was preceded in death by grandmother, Louise Hudnall; grandfather Hank Keultjes; uncle, John Keultjes; and aunt, Barbie (Hudnall) Bates. Tim was employed at Kuert Concrete and was a graduate of Clay High School where he starred on both the basketball court and the baseball diamond...the ball he hit out of the Cove, over the church, might still be flying, and he was drafted by the Montreal Expos. He attended Lake Michigan College on a baseball scholarship, and then transferred to Grand Valley State where he led the team to the National Championship Game in the Division II World Series and set the school single-season record for most RBIs. The only thing bigger than his swing was his heart - and its capacity to love - and there was nothing he loved more in the world than his family. Tim was well on his way to the life he always dreamed of - his house was almost finished, his son Jackson meant everything to him, and he was recently engaged to Sarah - at long last someone who loved him as much as he deserved. Tim was the happiest he had ever been, which is what makes this so tragic. Tim was known by many names: Robert, T-Hud, Bob-O, 29, Timmers, Bert, and Timmy-Jimmy-Shampoopees - but he was better known as father, son, brother and friend. Tim loved tennis shoes, doing anything for anyone, Betsy Lou in the Morning Time, the South Bend Cubs, Southaven cherries, Filet-O-Fish and double cheeseburgers, Fa-La-La-La Lifetime, Chet Waggoner Little League, leopard print, the Cabin, toasted cheese sammitches, NASCAR, mashing anything pitched, Ickay - Ickay - Ickay, Floating Down the Yellow River, the Notebook, Taylor Swift, his Kuert family, 4 hours after eating grapes, egging on Rowdy, Penguin Walking, Tommy Woo's, naps, and a horse even if they never won a race. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 3, from 3-8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:30 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 4, at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tim's son Jackson, c/o Dave and Julie Hudnall at any Mutual Bank. Tim - thank you for showing us how to love. Life will never be the same without you; God is Love - Trust in Him. on March 2, 2010.1
