Scalise, 55, formerly of Erie, passed away peacefully of colon cancer, on Monday July 11, 2005, at his home in Denver Co. He was the son of the late Frank W. and Helen Daniels Scalise. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rev. Toni Cook and their daughter Sarah; both of Denver. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Scalise Tatara of Erie, Nancy Scalise, of Columbus Ohio, and his brother Jay, his wife Darby Patton Scalise, of Erie. James is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Angelina and Camelia Tatara, Andrew Thimmes, Jason, Douglass, James, Daniel Scalise and his close cousin Dan Leech of Meadville, his uncles Richard Brabender of Erie, James Daniels of Longview Texas , his aunt Fran Whitmore of Boston, Mass., along with numerous cousins in Erie and elsewhere.. James was a 1968 graduate of McDowell High School and attended Boston University of Fine Arts. He was very active in the missions of his wife's church in Denver and an avid car enthusiast. He was also a trained and talented artist and enjoyed the outdoors. His professional life was diverse: he was a development contractor, a licensed EMT, an auto salesman, and a social worker. His life will be honored at services in Denver at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Sunday July 17th. A private memorial celebration will be held the weekend of Aug 5th (his 56th birthday) at the family camp property known as " Gossville" in Warren County on July 17, 2005.3

Keating of New York City and stepmother of Mrs. H. C. Mooreland and Mrs. Dorothy Keating of Oil City, died December 28 in her home after a long illness. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Winfield Boyd, she was born in Foxburg. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of Foxburg. Surviving are her husband; a son, Robert Cook of Hazelwood and two step-daughters. Services were held in the ? Funeral Home, St. Petersburg with Rev. H. P. Callohan officiating. Interment was in Foxburg cemetery. on January 4, 1951.3
