Charles Zengel of the church with veterans graveside services to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Mrs. Bean was born March 9, 1918, in Tulsa. Okla., and moved lo Artesia in 1939. She was a member of the American Legion, St. Anthony's Church, treasurer of the LPN Association for district 5 and a veteran of World War II. Mrs. Bean is survived by one sister. Bina Ann Bean of Artesia. Pallbearers for the services will be Johnny Achen, W.D. Cunningham, James Evarts, Dennis Jenkins, W. W. Thomas and Wendel Welch. on December 11, 1978.⁴

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where military honors will be accorded at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 12, by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, Canonsburg, and American Legion Post 902, Houston, combined honor guard. Private interment will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. on September 9, 2013.⁵
