     Elaine M. Waite was buried at Valley View Cemetery, Ellington, Chautauqua Co., New York.¹ She was born on June 28, 1942.² As of February 7, 1959,her married name was Larsen.¹ She married Lloyd W. Larsen, son of Harry A. Larsen and Beatrice V. Dunn, on February 7, 1959 at Steamburg, Cattaraugus Co., New York.¹ Elaine M. Waite died on February 10, 2019 at New York at age 76.¹ She Elaine M. Larsen, 76, of Kennedy, N.Y., gained her wings with family by her side Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, after a battle with breast cancer. Elaine was married Feb. 7, 1959, to Lloyd W. Larsen of Steamburg, N.Y. She enjoyed her gardens and planting wild flowers around the house. Elaine was a loving mother, not just to her own sons but the entire family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tracey and Francis Waite; a son, Brian Larsen; and four brothers and five sisters. Elaine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lloyd W. Larsen: sons Darrell (Diane) Waite of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Joshua Larsen of Kennedy, N.Y; two granddaughters: and four great-granchildren. Elaine would not want us to grieve, for she is with the lord and walking the streets of gold. Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday at DiStasio Funeral Home, 478 Route 83, at Balcom Corners South Dayton. Interment will immedialy follow the service at Valley View Cemetery, Ellington, N.Y. A reception will follow burial at the Kennedy Fire Hall. on February 12, 2019.¹

The accident occurred in a remote forest section of Elk county where he was employed on a proect of the Novosel Lumber company. He was engaged in skidding logs with a tractor when a tree adjacent the skidway uprooted and toppled on him, causing a skull fracture. Weatherbee was working with Oliver Hulings, of Kane, on the tha job when the accident occurred. Mr. Hulings, unable to remove the unconscious man alone, secured help and it was more than two hours before he was moved to a roadway where he could be rushed here by ambulance. The accident occured about 2:30 p.m. and it was approximately 5 p.m. before he could be moved out of the deep woods. on October 31, 1951.⁷ He died on October 31, 1951 at Kane, McKean Co., Pennsylvania, at age 18.^2,3,4,5,7

     Lennette Sue "Lennie" Weatherbee Lennette Sue "Lennie" Jashurek, 60, of 226 Yarnell Street, passed away Monday morning (February 18, 2013) at her residence. Born March 22, 1952, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Joyce E. Hulings Woods and the late Leonard J. Weatherbee. On May 10, 1970, in Portville, NY, she married Robert "Bob" Jashurek who preceded her in death. Lennie was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest enjoyments in life were her children and grandchildren. She loved going for walks, gardening, scrapbooking, knitting and doing crafts with her grandchildren. The most important thing to her was making memories with her grandchildren for them to cherish. She was a kind-hearted and caring person who will be greatly missed. Surviving are three daughters, Tammy L. (Frank) Bizzak, Bobbi J. (Dave) Bucheit and Candi L. (Adrian) Smith, all of Kane; a son, Robert J. (Jolene) Jashurek in Mississippi; ten grandchildren, Ryan Bizzak, Kate Bizzak, David Bucheit, Taylor Bucheit, Andrew Bucheit, Emily Bucheit, Lexie Woods, Aden Smith, Randi Jashurek and Alyson Jashurek; two brothers, Steven L. (Tracy) Woods of Kane and Daniel J. (Kim) Woods of Smethport; and a sister, Susan M. Woods of Wilcox. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by a brother, Charles Woods and her maternal and paternal grandparents.      Robert A. "Bob" Jashurek Robert A. Jashurek, 52, of R.D. 2, died Friday (June 15, 2001) in his home. He was born Sept. 16, 1948, in Sheffield, the son of the late Frank J. and Rose Marion Rodgers Jashurek. He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Marines as a corporal. He was employed by International Paper in Kane and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 1132 in Kane, where he had served as president and treasurer. He is survived by his wife, Lennette S. Woods Jashurek, whom he married May 10, 1970, in Portville, N.Y; three daughters: Tammy Bizzak, Bobbra and Candace Woods, all of Kane; a son, Robert Jashurek of Gulfport, Miss; six grandchildren; and two brothers: Anthony Jashurek of South Carolina and Thomas Jashurek of Kane.
