Bowes, 47, of Julian, formerly of Lock Haven, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. He was born September 4, 1957 in Lock Haven, the son of the late Paul R. Bowes, Sr. and Julia Schreiber Bowes Page, who survives in Lock Haven. William was a 1975 graduate of the former Lock Haven High School. He attended Lock Haven University, and had been employed as a Campus Police Officer at Lock Haven University earlier in his life. He currently was employed as a Guard with the State Correctional Institution at Rockview with the rank of Sgt., where he had been employed for the past 26 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, biking, and jogging, and loved spending time at the beach. In addition to his mother, William is survived by three sisters, Rosellen Law and her husband, James, of Norristown; Jan Janet and her husband, Robert, of Charlotte, NC; and Christine McRae and her husband, Wayne, of Mill Hall; three brothers, Paul and his wife, Bobbie, of Lamar; Gerald and his wife, Pam, of Lock Haven; and Joseph, of West Decatur; nine nieces and nephews, ten great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Gay Bowman, of Camp Hill. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 20, 2005 at 1 pm at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington, with the Rev. Father Raymond Crosser officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lock Haven. on August 19, 2005.2
