     Edward Eugene Blankenship Edward Eugene Blankenship, 89, of Wirtz, gained his wings on January 8, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Narrows, Virginia to Edward L. and Sallie B. Blankenship. He was preceded in death by 10 siblings and his late wife Lois Blankenship. He is survived by his wife Loretta Blankenship; sons Michael and Donnie (Johniece); 2 step-sons, Barry and Brian Fields; grandchildren, Josh, Angel, Cody, Misty, Linsey, and Dustin; 3 step grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Gene loved the Lord and was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. He was a very loving and caring husband and dearly loved his family. He also loved to travel and never met a stranger.      Janet Carolyn Kendrick Janet Caroyln Kendrick Cocchi, Jun 16, 1944 - Jan 30, 2022. Our mother, Janet C. Cocchi gained her wings on January 30, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with lymphoma. A fighter to the end, she was 77 years old. She is survived by many loving individuals including her son, Donald Keith Murdock, her daughters Lisa Murdock and Liza Murdock Gardner and husband Anthony, grandson Tyler Murdock, siblings Jerry Kendrick and wife Hazel, Larry Kendrick and wife Peggy, Jo-Ann Rhodes and husband Bill, Freddie Kendrick and in-laws Bobby Hatcher, Shirley Kendrick and Stella Kendrick.
