     Belva Madlyn Strickland Belva "Tom" Madlyn England, 88, of Clendenin, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 24, 2013, at home after a long illness. She was a member of Sand Run Gospel Tabernacle at Young's Bottom. Belva was the daughter of the late Fred and Ruth Ann (Dodd) Strickland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Roscoe England; brothers, Ivan Strickland, Roy Strickland; sisters, Erma Snyder, Gladys Skelton; and step-great grandson, Tyler Bond. Survivors include her son, SGM Dale R. England (Ret.) and wife Vonteenee, of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Peggy Fox and husband Gary, of Clendenin; sisters, Naomi Faye Huffman and husband Raymond, of Elkview, Alberta Page of Hurricane; grandchildren, Kimberly Fox and companion Jeff Gula, Melisa Bond and husband Glenn; Heather Obleada and husband Gus, Brian Fox and wife Lisa, Shaun Fox and wife Danielle, Vicky Black and husband Ed; great grandchildren, Lucy Bond, Kennedy Fox, Madelynn Bond, Todd Fox, Karyna Black, Cooper Obleada, Dailor Fox; and step-great granddaughter, Katie Bond. The family would like to extend a special thank you to K.C. Lovin, PA and Hospice, especially Amber, who could always cheer up Belva. The rest of the family would like to recognize Peggy for the extraordinary care she provided her mother for many years.      Peggy Jean England Peggy Jean (England) Fox passed away on May 30, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House after a long hard fought battle with triple negative breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Roscoe England and mother, Belva Madlyn England. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary; daughter, Kimberly Gula (Jeff) of Cross Lanes; daughter, Heather Obeada (Augusto) of Charlotte, NC; son, Brian (Lisa) of Clendenin; son Shaun of Clendenin; granddaughter, Kennedy Fox; grandsons, Todd Fox, Cooper Obleada and Dailor Fox; brother, Dale (Sgt. Major U. S. Army retired (Vonteenee) of Clarksville. TN; life-long friends, Becky Wyne and Trish Hardman (They were known as the THREE BEARS); aunt and uncle Naomi Faye and Raymond Huffman; nieces, Melisa Bond, Lucy Bond, Madelyn Bond, Katie Bond, Vicky Black, Karyna Black; and nephew, Kameron Black. Peggy is a graduate of Herbert Hoover High School and Beckley College. Upon her graduation from Beckley College she was offered, and accepted a high level position with the Central Intelligence Agency (Science and Technology Directorate) headquarters Langley, Virginias. She held one of the highest security clearances available for Federal employees and was involved with numerous highly classified projects at the Agency aimed at protecting our country. She loved every minute of this experience. With the arrival of her daughter, Kimberly from Korea she became a stay at home mom dedicated to taking care of all her children. Once the kids became responsible adults she became the office manager/administrative assistant for Gary’s CPA practice in Charleston for a period of about 20 years. She loved all clients and they felt the same about her. The next adventure in her life was to take care of her grandchildren. Kennedy was the first, followed by Todd and then Dailor. They affectionately referred to her as NANNY. After visiting her at the hospital they would be left screaming and hollering about leaving her room. Peggy was once again called upon to be a caregiver with her mom’s diagnosis of dementia. She spent four years taking cate of all her mom’s needs until her death in August 2013. Although she had her hands full taking care of family members she also found time to serve as the Director of the ST. Anne Catholic Church Social Outreach Program. Hundreds of area families, children, and expectant women were served through this program. When anyone called with a need Peggy always found a way to help them. Robin Thornburg and Margie Swecker helped make the program the success that it was. Funeral service will be 6:00 PM Thursday June 2, 2016 at Matics Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Per her wishes following the visitation and funeral her body will be cremated with burial to follow in the Sand Run Cemetery, Young’s Bottom, Elkview, WV.² She was buried at Sand Run Cemetery, 23 Sand Run Cemetery Way, Elkview, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.² She was born on July 29, 1946 at West Virginia.⁴ As of circa 1969,her married name was Fox.² She married Gary Allen Fox circa 1969.^1,2,3 Peggy Jean England died on May 30, 2016 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 69.²

     Gary Allen Fox was buried at Sand Run Cemetery, 23 Sand Run Cemetery Way, Elkview, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.⁴ He Gary Allen Fox passed away at home on October 4, 2016. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Peggy Jean (England) Fox. Gary was born on July 18, 1947 in Waynesburg, PA to the late Eileen Fox and Minor Fox. Gary is survived by daughter, Kimberly Gula (Jeff) of Cross Lanes; daughter, Heather Obeada (Augusto) of Charlotte, NC; son, Brian (Lisa) of Clendenin; son, Shaun of Clendenin; granddaughter, Kennedy Fox; grandson, Todd Fox, Cooper Obleada and Dailor Fox; nieces Melisa Bond, Madelyn Bond, Katie Bond, Vicky Black and Karyna Black; and nephew, Kameron Black. Gary was a graduate of Serra High School in McKeesport, PA, as well as the University of Baltimore. Upon graduation, he accepted a high level position in the Central Intelligence Agency, in Langley, VA. Gary held one of the highest security clearances available to Federal employees and was involved in numerous highly classified projects. After concluding his service to the CIA, Gary then obtained his CPA license and opened his own accounting practice which became his life’s work, serving hundreds of clients for over forty years.³ He was born on July 18, 1947 at Waynesburg, Greene Co., Pennsylvania.³ He married Peggy Jean England, daughter of Ronald Roscoe England and Belva Madlyn Strickland, circa 1969.^1,2,3 Gary Allen Fox died on October 4, 2016 at Clendenin, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 69.³

     Shaun Andrew Fox married Danielle Unknown.¹ Shaun Andrew Fox was born on September 15, 1978 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.⁴ He died on October 16, 2016 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 38.⁴ He Shaun Andrew Fox, passed away suddenly at his home, on Sunday, October 16, 2016. Shaun was born on September 15, 1978, in Charleston, to the late Peggy Jean Fox, and the late Gary Allen Fox. Shaun is survived by his son, Dailor Fox of Clendenin; sister, Kimberly Gula (Jeff) of Cross Lanes; sister, Heather Obleada (Augusto) of Charlotte, N.C; brother, Brian (Lisa) of Clendenin; niece, Kennedy Fox; nephews, Todd Fox and Cooper Obleada; uncle, Dale (Vonteenee) England; cousins, Melisa Bond, and Vicky Black. Shaun graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in 1996. He was passionate about music, landscaping, and movies, all of which he was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. His number one love in life was his son, Dailor. Dailor knew the way to his Daddy's heart and Shaun always had a twinkle in his eyes when he was talking about him. Shaun was most recently employed through the Pipeliners Union 798, of which he was very proud. on October 21, 2016.⁴

Mrs. England, a housewife, died Friday November 14, 1986, in Shreveport after a short illness. She was born in Walgrove, W.Va. and had been a resident of Shreveport for the past four years. Mrs. England was Protestant. She is survived by her husband, Harold E. England, Sr. and one son Harold E. England, Jr. of Shreveport; one sister, Helen Summerfield of Streator, Ill; and one granddaughter, Terri Lynn Casto of Longview, Texas. on November 15, 1986.³

     Harold Erman England Jr. was buried at Restland Cemetery, Waskom, Harrison Co., Texas.⁴ His Social Security Number was 234-62-9991.⁶ He was born on December 25, 1942 at Young's Bottom, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^2,6,3,4 He married Caroline Woods on February 9, 1962 at Sybial, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^2,3,4,7 Harold Erman England Jr. died on February 4, 2013 at College Station, Brazos Co., Texas, at age 70.^6,3 He Harold Erman England, Jr. , 70, of Waskom, TX went to be with his Lord February 4th, 2013 in his sleep at his daughter's home in College Station, TX. He was born to the late Harold, Sr. and Sylvia England, December 25, 1942, in Young's Bottom, WV. He married his soul mate, the late Caroline Woods England in 1962, and they lived together in Elkview, WV, before relocating to Shreveport, LA, in 1983 and Waskom, TX in 1990. Harold was a 1960 graduate of Clendenin High School. He proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Ft. Eustis, VA from 1961 till 1965. Harold was a safety director for Pennzoil first at the Falling Rock, WV plant then the Shreveport plant, until he retired and continued to teach safety classes through the Ark-La-Tex chapter of the National Safety Council. He was passionate about firefighting and was a volunteer and training officer with the Waskom Volunteer Fire Department. Previously he was an instructor at the TEEX Industrial Fire School at Texas A & M University and the Eastman Fire School and served on the board of the Waskom Public Library. He was a member of the Harrison County Firefighters Association and the Northeast TX Fire Chiefs Association. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Waskom, TX and the Waskom Lion's Club. Harold is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Terri and Ed Casto of College Station, TX ,and his grandchildren Stephanie Casto Branum and her husband Grant Branum of Coppell, TX and Thomas Casto of College Station, TX. He is also survived by his great grandchild, Hudson Archer Branum of Coppell, TX. on February 8, 2013.³

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, May 1, at First Presbyterian Church of Waskom, Texas, with Brother Doug Lovett officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Waskom. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Downs Funeral Home, Marshall, Texas. Caroline was born on June 29, 1942, in Leatherwood, W.Va., to Robert Woods and Marie Hayes Woods. She graduated from Clay High School in Clay County, W.Va. On February 9, 1962, she married Harold E. England Jr. in Reamer, W.Va. Mrs. England owned and operated Fresh Kutt Florist in Waskom. She was past president of Waskom Chamber of Commerce and of the Women's Auxiliary of Waskom Fire Department. Caroline was a Girl Scout leader and softball coach. She was previously a state auditor in West Virginia. Mrs. England was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Waskom. She was a successful wife and mother and raised one great daughter. Mrs. England wrote the Waskom News for the Marshall News Messenger. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harold E. England Jr. of Waskom; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Ed Casto of College Station, Texas; grandchildren, Stephanie and Thomas Casto, both of College Station; two sisters, Glenna Jean Woods of Aberdeen, Md., and Evon York and husband, Jim, of Elkview, W.Va; one brother, Randall Woods and wife, Helen, of Plant City, Fla; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Daniel Woods and Vanlee Woods; and one sister, Evelyn Burch. Pallbearers will be members of Waskom Fire Department. Honorary pallbearer will be Josh Ramsey. on April 30, 2009.⁵
