Johnson, on February 8, 1944 at Crab Orchard, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^1,2,4 Wanda June French died on December 26, 2009 at Lewisville, Denton Co., Texas, at age 84.^3,2 She LEWISVILLE, Texas - Wanda June Sigmon, 84, formerly of 716 Straley Avenue, Princeton, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009 in Lewisville, Texas. Born March 26, 1925 at Beckley, she was a daughter of the late William French and Thursabell French. Mrs. Sigmon was a retired junior high science teacher from the Mercer County School System. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Princeton where she was greatly involved in the missionary circles and in teaching adult Sunday School. Wanda was a current member of Temple Baptist Church, Pastor Richard Wallace, Sr., in Lewisville, Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sigmon; two sisters, Frances Hunter and Glida French; and a brother, William French. Survivors include one son, Jerry Sigmon and his wife Anita of Bethlehem, N.C; one daughter, Debbie Williams and her husband Ed of Lewisville, Texas; siblings, Charles and Nora French of Gainesville, Va., Morris and Vivian French of Daytona, Fla., Russell and Ethel Ellerson of Richmond, Va., Jimmy and Mary Lipscomb of Indian Trail, N.C., Audrey Mayes of Lutz, Fla. and Walter French of New Orleans, La. Additionally, Wanda is survived by two grandsons, Jeffery and Beverly Sigmon of Arlington, Va., and Rob and Jennifer Sigmon of The Netherlands, EU; along with three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Erin and Ryan. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. David Dockery officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. on December 28, 2009.²

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasantville Baptist Church, of which he was the pastor. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Princeton, W.Va. Pastor Nuckolls was born in Bluefield, W.Va., and had lived in Pleasantville since 1989. He is survived by his wife, Debbie. on September 7, 1993.³

     Ernest Wayne Lynch Ernest Wayne Lynch, age 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospice House. Three weeks prior, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Ernest was born on January 12, 1959 in Roanoke, Virginia where he resided his whole life. Upon graduation from Patrick Henry High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and later served as a reservist. He spent most of his employment as a supervisor at Chesapeake Corporation and prior to retiring, he worked at ITT Night Vision.Ernest loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and hunting with his hunt club buddies. Ernest had a way of always making you laugh with his crazy stories. He was a "ponderer" and slow telling those stories but they were always worth the wait. He was a jack of all trades and always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a kind and giving spirit to those in need. Ernest was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey M. Lynch and grandparents, Ballard & Flora Spradlin and Solly & Betty Pearl Lynch. He is survived by his mother, Frances S. Lynch; brother, Gary Lynch; sister, Angie Epperly and husband Wayne; two nephews, Ryan Epperly; Landon Epperly and wife Jenna.
