     Harold A. Wright was buried at McCune Cemetery, McCune, Crawford Co., Kansas.1,2 His Social Security Number was 515-38-2875.3 He ERIE - Harold A. Wright of Erie died Wednesday night in the Labette County Medical Center in Parsons at the age of 70. He had been ill one year. Wright was a native of Pratt. He was born on April 2, 1909, a son of Homer and Alma Wright. At the age of 18 he joined the U.S. Cavalry at Des Moines, Iowa, and served three years. He then entered the Army Air Corps, serving four years. He and Freda Amos were married in 1936. They lived all their married life on a farm nine miles northwest of McCune, retiring to Erie in 1972. Mrs. Wright survives at the home here. He was a member of the Erie Golf Club, the Osage Hills Golf Club at St. Paul and of the Beantown Ramblers. Among other survivors are three daughters, Mrs. W.L. (Joan) Smith of Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Frank (Norma) Heidrick of Kirkwood, Mo. and Mrs. Norman (Connie) Sumpter of Poplarville, Miss; three sons, Richard Lee Wright of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kenneth of Kansas City and Donald of Greenwood, Ind; and 11 grandchildren. One son, Bobby, preceded his father in death in 1964. There are also two brothers, Carl E. Wright of Mossyrock, Wash. and Ivan M. Wright of Atlanta, Ga; and three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Thompson, Mrs. Ruth Bainum, both of Hutchinson, and Mrs. Verna Dean Nichols of San Antonio, Texas. Services are scheduled Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Erie Christian Church with the Rev. Fred Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the McCune Cemetery.2 He was born on April 2, 1909 at Pratt, Pratt Co., Kansas.1,3,2 He married Freda M. She was a member of St. Thomas More Oratory and Newark Senior Center where she loved to line dance. She was a volunteer at Wilbur Elementary School. Norma loved working in her garden. Her son, Rex Heidrick, and her former spouse, Frank R. Heidrick, her brothers, Richarad Lee Wright and Bobby Leroy Wright preceded her in death. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 31 years, Earl W. Burns; her daughters, Karen Caine and her husband, Robert, of Alexandria, VA and Ann Heidrick of Bear, DE; her son, Joseph Heidrick of St. Louis, MO; and nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, JoAn McManus and her husband, Jim of Grants Pass, OR and Connie Sumpter of Westville, FL; her brothers, Kenneth Wright and his companion, Irene Byers of Lee Summit, KS and Donald Wright and his companion Patricia Cook of Pleasant Hill, MO; and her stepsons, Jim Burns and his wife, Jan, and Ted Burns. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17th at 11:15 AM at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington where visitation will begin after 10 AM. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. on November 13, 2016.1

Wright. Head injuries received at 12:10 p.m. Sunday in a motorcycle-car collision at 13th and Partridge in Parsons, proved fatal to Bobby LeRoy Wright, 19, of 1322 Crawford. He died Sunday night seven hours after the accident at the Labette County Medical Center without regaining consciousness. Wright's northbound cycle struck broadside a westbound car, Wright, riding a cycle he had purchased late Friday struck the car at the rear edge of the left front door, caving in both doors. The fatal injuries were received when his head struck the roof of the car above the doors, caving it in. A ambulance moved him to the Labette Medical hospital. Wright was recently married to Sheryl McColm, of McCune, and they established their home in Parsons. He was employed by the Katy Railroad. Wright was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wright, R. 4, St. Paul. He was born July 11 1946, near St. Paul, and lived there until moving to Parsons. Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Joan Smith, Wichita; Mrs. Norma Jean Heidrick, Kansas City and Mrs. Connie Sumpter, of Parsons and three brothers, Kenny, Donald and Richard all of the St. Paul home. Funeral services were held at the McCune Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Tom Finney and the Rev. Ralph Hodgen. Burial was in McCune Cemetery. on September 30, 1964.3
