Military Honors with the "Flight Home" ceremony will be at Graceland cemetery. Herman was born January 3, 1934 in Denison Township, Lawrence County, the son of Everett and Elizabeth (Reinhart) Moore. He married Charlene Folge on October 28, 1956 in Bridgeport, Illinois. Herman proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years: Charlene, two daughters: Pamela D. (Mark) Beckett of West Palm Beach, FL, and Lisa (Ron) McCarty of Decatur, two sisters: Billie Shockman of Evansville, Ind, one brother: Everett Moore of Bridgeport, Ill and Norma Jane Snapp of Bicknell, Ind, one granddaughter, Rachel Beckett of Gainesville, FL, and several nieces and nephews. He was reunited in heaven with his parents and one 2 year-old sister, Faye Moore. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Timothy Miller and the staff of Aspen Ridge Care Centre for the compassion and care they showed Herman. on November 2, 2008.5

Moore, son of Everett Moore and Elizabeth Gladis Rhinehart, on October 28, 1956 at Bridgeport, Lawrence Co., Illinois.1,3 Charlene Potts died on February 3, 2019 at Decatur, Macon Co., Illinois, at age 81.1 She Charlene Moore, 81, passed away on February 3, 2019, at Generations of McKinley Court. Charlene was born on March 12, 1937. She married Herman Moore in 1956, and they celebrated fifty-two years together before he passed away in 2008. She was a homemaker and worked for Carson Pirie Scott. Charlene’s family remembers her as a strong woman who faced breast cancer with will and determination. She taught her family the importance of a quickly sent thank you note, that people always appreciate a Christmas card, and that you should not pass up an excellent bargain. She enjoyed a good family recipe, her vacations with Herman in Hawaii, a good book, Cardinals baseball, and spending time with loved ones. She was known for showing her affection through cupcakes and cookies. She loved deeply and will be truly missed. Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Beulah and James Eldon Potts, and one brother, Gene “Sonny” Potts. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Mark) Beckett and Lisa (Ron) McCarty; one granddaughter, Rachel (Patrick) Miller; and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Miller. Also surviving are one sister, Karla Sue Douglas; one brother, Eldon Ray (Sue) Potts; two sisters of the heart, Patty Stemple and Marsha Mower; and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Charlene’s family greatly appreciate the care she received from her doctors, including Dr. Benjamin Esparaz and Dr. Cynthia Marschner. on February 5, 2019.1

She was preceded in death by her father. on May 29, 2013.3
