     Arthur John Demetree DEMETREE, Arthur John, 67, Orlando, FL. Mr. Arthur Demetree was born in Jacksonville, FL in 1941. He moved to Orlando when he was ten in 1951 and has resided here since, he is a true Floridian. In 1959 he graduated from Bishop Moore High School, followed by two years at St. Leo Seminary College. It was in 1961when he joined the armed forces and he started his three-year term in the Air Force. Arthur was a lifetime member of the Home Builders Association of Central Florida and loved his HBA family. He also earned a "Green Jacket" for bringing in many members. Art was a member of the Scottish Rite as a 32nd degree Mason, Knights of Columbus and Bahia Shriner’s. Arthur loved fishing and he was always talking and dreaming about catching that "Big" Bass. Art was loved by his family and friends and was the type of guy that never met a stranger. Arthur was preceded in death by his soulmate, Rose Demetree in October 2008. Married in 1985 they celebrated 23 years of life together filled with love and laughter. He is survived by four children; Scott Demetree (Dana), Clearwater, Russell Demetree (Cheryl), San Antonio, TX, Betsy Barnwell (Chip), Kansas City, MO and Leanne Demetree Brunton (Michael), Orlando, FL. Arthur was proud to be called Pepaw by 9 grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Jenna, Matthew, Andrew, Billy, Jillian, Will and Westin. Born March 31, 1930, in McComas, he was a son of the late Gertrude Thomas. He was a loving and devoted husband, dad, and granddad. He had been a resident of Lorton Lick Road for 10 years and was retired from Joanna Western Mills in Chicago as a machine foreman. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict where he served in the U.S. Army. He had been an avid bowler for the past 10 years at both Mountaineer and Green Valley Bowling Lanes. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Thomas. Survivors include his wife, Jettie M. Gearheart Nicewander of the home; two daughters, Wanda Nicewonder and husband, Bill of Carol Stream, Ill. and Cindi Gaughan and husband, Dave of Lake Station, Ind; three sons, Robert E. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, New Castle Co., Delaware.² She was born on September 24, 1933.³ As of circa 1957,her married name was Gearheart.¹ She married James Edward Gearheart Sr., son of William Van Gearheart and Elizabeth Marie "Lizzy" Rose, circa 1957.¹ Eleanor Mae Wiggins died on December 5, 2011 at New Castle, New Castle Co., Delaware, at age 78.² She Eleanor Mae Gearheart, age 78, of New Castle, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2011. Mrs. Gearheart enjoyed going out for dinner, baking, annually attending family reunions, and she was an avid fan of wrestling. She was a loving homemaker and was thankful for every day she had with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Gearheart is survived by her sons, James E. Gearheart, Jr., and Kenneth W. Gearheart and wife Carol; daughter, Diana Gearheart-Parris and husband Jeffery; loving grandchildren: Laura M. Gearheart, Mason K. Bobby had been a resident of Chicago, Ill. for 40 years before returning home to Bluefield. He was a supervisor in the gaming industry and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.      Wanda Lynn Nicewander Wanda Nicewonder, Jul 30, 1954 - Apr 29, 2024. Wanda L. Nicewonder, 69, of Carol Stream, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024. Wanda was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Bill, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of love and companionship. She was the loving mother of Samantha (Danny) DeLoera, and the dear daughter of the late Bob and Jettie Nicewander. Wanda is survived by her siblings, Cindi (Dave) Gaughan, Danny (Diana) Nicewander, and brother-in-law, Tim (Gayle) Nicewonder, as well as being the sister to Bobby and Mike, who both preceded her in death. She was a beloved cousin and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, Wanda moved to Chicago at the age of two. She graduated from St. Michael's High School and dedicated 30 years of her life to providing childcare, touching the lives of countless families within her community. Wanda loved to listen to the Motown classics, Celine Dion, and Rod Stewart. She also played a mean air drum solo to Phil Collins 'In the Air Tonight'. She enjoyed spending her time in her backyard, gardening and loved to serve and bake for her church. Wanda's warm smile, gentle nature, and love for others made her a special friend to all who knew her. Wanda's memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
