Cora was born on January 17, 1961 to the late Charles Phillip (Phil) Thompson and Gwendolyn Irene (Gwen) Thompson of McComas, W.Va. She was a 1979 graduate of Montcalm High School. Yvette grew up in a family that has a strong love of music. Yvette loved to sing and spent many hours together with her family singing and making music. Yvette also loved singing in her church choir when she attended Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork, W.Va. Yvette was a hard worker and always kept a beautiful home for her family. She loved her home, and had great pride in it decorating the lawn with a menagerie of flowers, and kept the inside immaculate. Yvette is survived by her four children: Adam Wall of Montcalm, April Wall of Duhring, Cody Gilliand, and Derek Gilliand of the home. She has three grandchildren; Hayley Scaggs, Kelly Scaggs, and Kenneth Scaggs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Lee Davis, Everett Cletis Davis and John “Butch” Davis; two sisters, Vernie Brock and Cora “Dood” Larue and one grandson, Brian Wimmer. After High School he served in the Army National Guard until he was medically discharged. Terry was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith and Terry's greatest love in life was his family. Bailey and wife Barbara of Beartown; brother, Michael Davis and wife Tina of Charleston; sister, Donna Coeburn and husband Mark of McComas; grandchildren, Rhonda Shrewsbury, Lexi Lester and Clayton Bailey; and great grandchildren, Tyler and Everly Shrewsbury and Brynnleigh “Bennie” Persiani. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.⁵ She was born on March 29, 1948 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.⁵ As of July 5, 1963,her married name was Bailey.¹ She married Dennis Kermit Bailey on July 5, 1963 at Tazewell, Tazewell Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,4,5 Sandra Kaye Davis died on May 13, 2023 at West Virginia at age 75.⁵
