"Dick" Anderson, 88, of Vandergrift, died Tuesday (July 8, 2003) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison. Born January 18, 1915, in Anita, Jefferson, he lived in Vandergrift most of his life. An Army veteran, he served in World War II. He worked at United Engineering and Foundry, Vandergrift, and was a truck driver at Wean United before retiring. Mr. Anderson was a member of Vandergrift Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder and a trustee, and Oak Lake Golf Club. He enjoyed golfing, watching Kiski Area High School football and donating to Vandergrift Blood Bank. Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Madill Anderson; two sons, Rick (Sue) Anderson of York and Sam (Dixie) Anderson of Oakmont; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Susan) Sebak of Talmadge, Ohio; and a sister, Eleanor Ranieri of Denver, Colo. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Jackie Morrison, Larry Sebak, Barbara Gorczyca, Jill and Lauren Anderson, and Hannah, Kate and Blair Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Hannah Anderson Anderson. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. The Joint Veterans of Vandergrift will afford military services. on July 9, 2003.2

     Margaret Geddes Ramsey was born on October 10, 1925 at Jefferson Co., Ohio.1,2 As of October 7, 1950,her married name was Madill.1 She married Robert Richard Madill, son of Samuel Robert "Sam" Madill and Rena Belle Martin, on October 7, 1950 at Trumbull Co., Ohio.1 Margaret Geddes Ramsey died on March 31, 2014 at Franklin Co., Ohio, at age 88.2,3 She Margaret (Ramsay) Madill, 88, of Westerville, passed away on March 31, 2014. She was a longtime member of The Church of the Master, member of the choir and many other organizations. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While Alzheimer's changed her final years on earth, it could not extinguish her lifelong contributions to others and her life of faith. She is greatly missed by her husband of 63 years, Bob; her children, Debbie (Ed), Peggy (Jeff), Bob (Terri), Lori; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. on April 2, 2014.3
