     Phyllis Taylor was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.¹ She Phyllis Robinette, 66, of Princeton, WV, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on January 14, 1950 in Princeton, she was a daughter of John Taylor of Princeton and the late Louise Taylor Smothers. She had been a lifelong resident of Princeton and was a former clerk at Wal-Mart in Bluefield, VA. She attended Athens High School and the Athens Church of God where she loved to sing. Born Oct. 22, 1933, in Lansing, N.C., he was the son of the late James and Edna Jones Childers of Springton. He was a resident of Princeton for 30 years. Upon graduation from Matoaka High School in 1952, he worked at Tralee in the mines until enlisting in the Air Force in January 1956. He also served in the USAF Reserves and the Air National Guard in Charleston. Roy as he was known by friends and family was employed by Norfolk and Western Railroad for 35 years beginning in Mullens and Elmore Yards, retiring in 1995 from the Bluefield office. He was a member of the Transportation and Communications International Union and the Princeton Moose Lodge 1521. He was an avid gardener and pool player. He was of the Protestant faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen Lynn, and ex-wife, Shirley Bond of Mullens. Survivors include his son, James Childers and wife Kelli of Charleston; daughters, Royceanne Childers of Mullens, Toni Clay and husband Tim of Saulsville, Jennifer Green and husband Richard of the home; grandchildren, Rebekah Peerman and husband Trent of Sevierville, Tenn., Jessica, Joey, Daniel, Nicholas, Juleigh, Hannah all of Charleston, Jamie, Jakob, Jordan of the home; brother, Joe Childers and wife Janet of Coffeen, Ill; sisters, Anita Monk and husband Lawrence of Coffeen, Edna Reed and husband Roy of Bluefield; several nieces and cousins; ex wife and caregiver, Jeannette Childers of Princeton; and one great-grandchild due in January 2005. on September 9, 2004.²

     Carl Allen White was buried at White Family Cemetery, Whites Crossing Road, Oakvale, Mercer Co., West Virginia.³ He was born on January 23, 1910 at West Virginia.¹ He married Anna Elizabeth "Annie" Elmore, daughter of William Bee Elmore and Theodocia Imojeanne "Docia" Palmer, on October 31, 1930 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.¹ Carl Allen White died in August, 1970 at age 60.

     Larry Wayne Holdren Sr. Larry Wayne Holdren, Sr., 69, of Goodview, VA formerly of Princeton passed away peacefully at his home December 24, 2016.  He was born on December 15, 1947 to Bottie A. and Georgia Six Holdren.  Larry graduated from Princeton High School. He worked for Norfolk Western Railroad from which he retired. Larry is preceded in death by his parents the late Bottie A. Holdren and Georgia B. Six Holdren, and his daughter Suzette Jean Holdren. He is survived by his loving and devoted son with whom he lived Larry Wayne Holdren II and his children Haley and Clayton; and his beautiful daughter who he was very proud of Rissie Lurinda Murphy and her husband Nicholas and their children Colin and Jasper. Big Larry is also survived by his brothers Mikel Holdren of Princeton, WV, Rodney Holdren and his wife Susan of NC, and Todd Holdren and his wife Melissa of Yorktown, VA., as well as, numerous special nieces, nephews, and friends.²   He was born on December 15, 1947 at West Virginia.^1,2 He married Patty Kay Robinette, daughter of Julius Lewis Robinette Jr. and Lorena Ernestine Swim, on February 2, 1983 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.¹ Larry Wayne Holdren Sr. died on December 24, 2016 at Goodview, Bedford Co., Virginia, at age 69.²
