Surviving are his wife, Beverley Hardt Crawford; daughters, Linda A. Stump of Strasburg, Karen I. Wright of Richmond, Rhonda M. Body and Laurie L. Peerman, both of Vinton; a son, Galen S. Crawford of Chamblissburg; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Broy, Glenn Keller, Jimmy Orndorff and Danny Ball. on December 29, 2013.5

Chris was an active member of First Christian Church in Roanoke where he served as Church Videographer. He was a graduate of Northside High School and Virginia Western Community College. He studied horticulture and loved working with plants and gardening. He served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam Era. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. Body and Ruth G. Body, as well as his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Jill; and his son, Shawn. He is also survived by a dear aunt, "Mom" Joy Garten; his mother-in-law, Veryl Cash Campbell; a sister-in-law, Linda C. Greer; as well as many cousins; church family and dear friends. He will also be dearly missed by his Cocker Spaniel, Jasmine and cat, Hannah. Interment with full military honors will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. on July 19, 2015.3
