Paul J. Key was buried at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, Jefferson Co., Indiana.2 He Mr. Paul J. Key, age 85, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on September 24, 1935 in Dobson in Surry County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Rev. Paul Wyatt and Gertrude Snow Key. He grew up and attended school in Surry County. He was inducted into the United States Marine Corps in 1953 when he was seventeen years old. He rose to the rate of Corporal serving during the Korean War and in May of 1957 he rose to the rate of Sergeant and was honorably discharged from Camp Lejune, South Carolina, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. While serving in the Marines he contracted Tuberculosis and spent four years fighting the disease in the hospital. Paul moved to Jefferson County in 1972 while working with Morrow Tobacco Warehouse Company. He was an entrepreneur at heart focusing his efforts in construction and real estate. In January 1975 he was united in marriage to Carol Ann Peak at the Bedford Christian Church in Bedford, Kentucky. This union of 45 years blended two families together with the addition of a daughter, Sara. Paul was busy with his companies, Energy Research and Development, Key Construction, Molly Construction, and working in real estate. He spent his entire life trying new ideas and seeing where the challenges led him. Paul had owned his own plane and continued with his private pilots license for ten years. He was a Member of the Masonic Lodge in North Carolina since the 1960's and held membership in the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Murat Shrine since 1968. With his father being a Baptist minister he held membership in the Calvary Baptist Church in Madison. Paul also held membership in the Madison Moose Lodge No. 765 and enjoyed playing cards and visiting with fellow members and friends there. If there was a poker game being played you would often find Paul in the middle of it. He loved playing golf, traveling, shooting, playing music, writing music, was deeply patriotic, opinionated on many subjects and loved his dog Molly so much he named his company after her. In his later years he enjoyed wintering with Carol Ann and visiting his family in Vero Beach, Florida for nine years. Paul died on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 12:04 p.m. at the in at his home surrounded by his family. Paul will be missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Carol Ann Peak Key of Madison, Indiana; his children, Kimberly Key and her companion, Rick Freeman of Carmel, Indiana, Lisa Buchanan and her husband, Brent of Franklin, Indiana, Lori Gordon and her husband, Shayne of Madison, Indiana, Sara Gail Wright and her husband, Eric of Sunnyvale, California and Todd Willett and his wife, Candy of Bedford, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Justin, Leslie, Jake, Kelsey, Lee, Lauren, Morgan, Katie, Clint, Colin, Garrett, and Carter; his great grandchildren, Colson, Carson, and Bailee; his sisters, Gail Kimball of Salisbury, North Carolina, Pattie Wall of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; his brothers, Bobby Ray Key and his wife, Gale of Clemmons, North Carolina, Glenn M. Key and his wife, Sarah of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; his sister in law, Patti Ritchie and her husband, Darryl of Hanover, Indiana; his son in law, Dolph Davis and his wife, Rebecca of Lexington, Kentucky; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Paul Wyatt Key, died July 6, 2004, his mother, Gertrude Snow Key, died March 29, 2004, his son, Paul Wyatt "Skeet" Key, II, died December 14, 2014, his daughter, Patti Lynn Davis, died May 13, 2017, and his grandson, Mikhal Davis, died April 17, 2018. Interment will be private in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery,1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana. A final salute and military honors will be conducted at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel by Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.1 He and Lyola Joy Mullins were divorced.1 Paul J. Paul Wyatt Key II was buried at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, Jefferson Co., Indiana.5,2,6 He Mr. Paul Wyatt "Skeet" Key, II, age 53, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on March 23, 1961 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was the loving son of Paul J. and Joy Mullins Key. He was a 1979 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and in 1992 received his associate degree from Central Texas College. Paul was inducted into the United States Army on December 4, 1979 in Louisville, Kentucky and rose to the rate of Sergeant. He served as the Utility Helicopter Crew Engineer with the 431st Medical Detachment. On January 1, 1989 he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant serving at Fort Knox, Kentucky and was deployed to Saudi Arabia. On February 1, 1994 he rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class serving as utility helicopter section leader and Platoon Sergeant at Hunter Army Air Field in Savannah, Georgia during the Persian Gulf War. In December 1995 he was deployed as a Platoon Sergeant in the most forward air assault battalion in the U.S. Army of the demilitarized zone in the Republic of Korea and held that position thru September 1996. He was then stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky serving as a Maintenance Platoon Sergeant in the Aviation Unit Maintenance Company in the Command Aviation Battalion thru September 1997. On December 31, 1999 he was honorably discharged from active duty at Fort Campbell, Kentucky receiving the Army Achievement Medal (6th Award), Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, Non-commissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral Three, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4th Award), Overseas Service Bar, Multinational Force and Observers Medal (2nd Award), Saudi Kuwait Liberation Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal-Government of Kuwait and Senior Aircraft Crewman Badge. Paul's military career held many decorations, awards and commendations of his outstanding performance to his fellow serviceman and to his country. He returned to Madison in 2000 and received his real estate license in February 2001. Paul later worked for North American Stainless working in maintenance for five years. He had also completed training in Kentucky to serve as a emergency medical technician. Skeet was a meticulous man who enjoyed everything to be in detail and in order. He enjoyed playing golf as long as his health permitted. Paul had been a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Madison and had held membership in the Madison Moose Lodge No. 765. Skeet died on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at his home in Madison, Indiana. Paul will be missed by his loving father and step mother, Paul J. and Carol Ann Key of Madison, Indiana; his loving son, Paul Justin Key of Denver, Colorado; his sisters, Patti Lynn Davis and her husband, Dolph of Lexington, Kentucky, Kimberly Key and her companion, Rick Freeman of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lisa Buchanan and her husband, Brent of Franklin, Indiana, Lori Gordon and her husband, Shayne of Madison, Indiana, Sara Gail Wright and her husband, Eric of Vero Beach, Florida; his brother, Todd Willett and his wife, Candy of Bedford, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews,aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joy Mullins Key, his paternal grandparents, Paul W. and Gertrude Key, and his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Allie Mullins. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana. Full military honors will be conducted on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Indiana Veteran's Memorial Cemetery Chapel by the Fort Knox Ceremonial Unit and Jefferson Post 9, of the American Legion.2 He was born on March 23, 1961 at Knoxville, Knox Co., Tennessee.2,5,6 He married Christine Joan Wilson in December, 1982 at Coryell Co., Texas.3 Paul Wyatt Key II died on December 14, 2014 at Madison, Jefferson Co., Indiana, at age 53.5,2,6

Nancy is survived by her sons, Robert Hardesty, of Mechanicsville, and Malvern Hannum, of Bossier City, LA; daughters Deborah Myers, of Waldorf, and Tammy Farmer, of Lexington Park; brothers Alvin Beamer, of San Diego, CA and Wallace “Tee” Beamer of Odessa, FL, as well as 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Interment will follow at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. on August 26, 2013.5

Larry is also survived by his fiancé's family which includes Wanda Sheppard, Jerry Graham Sr. (Ennis), Jerry Graham Jr. (Tina), Calvin Graham (Nichole), Brittany Graham (Dalton), Matthew Graham, Braeden Graham. Special friends of Larry's family include Leslie and Wayne Hetherington, Denise Yopp, and a host of other numerous friends. Larry loved his dogs Gracie and Bandit and his cats. He was a lover of Virginia Tech Hokies. Larry loved to take long rides on back country roads, spending time with his grandson Colton, and spending time with his siblings while reminiscing about the old days. Larry was a jack of all trades and spent much of days completing projects for others. on October 25, 2020.2
