Arthur McCoy Morton was buried at Clay Memorial Gardens, Clay, Clay Co., West Virginia.3 His Social Security Number was 233-28-6141.4 He Arthur McCoy Morton, 90 of Lizemores went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at home with his loving wife by his side after a long illness. Arthur was born on January 29, 1920, in Lizemores and was the son of the late Luther and Flora Morton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ernestine; son, Ron; brothers, Curtis and Homer; sisters, Reba Dorsey, Georgia Dorsey and Ottovie Ramsey; step-son, Fred Grose. He was a former trustee and member of the Lizemores United Methodist Church and retired from Union Carbide Mine after 34 years of service. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Arthur was a devoted Christian, he was a quiet and soft spoken man who had two families that loved him very much. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 15 years, Jeanette Morton; daughter, Susan (Norris) Ellison of Sebring, FL; sons, Rick (Sandra) Morton of Lizemores, Kermit (Faye) Morton of Winfield; sisters, Dena Fitzwater of Dixie, Flora Jo Kilburn of Kanawha Falls, Arlene Slusher of Bedford, IN; step-children, Pamela (David) Wilson of Victor, Roger (Sharon) Grose of Marietta, OH, Bob (Debra) Grose of Bentree; 8 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren. Burial will follow in the Clay Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites conducted by Clay VFW Post #4419. The family would like to convey their sincere thanks to Dr. Atassi, Ella Jones and Jennifer Bodkins.
