     Her married name was Loar.³ Dr. Elizabeth Ann O'Dell married John Robert Loar.^3,2 Dr. Elizabeth Ann O'Dell was born on December 21, 1978.² She died on April 4, 2020 at age 41.² She Dr. Elizabeth Ann O'Dell Loar, 41, a former resident of Wauseon, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Elizabeth was born Dec. 21, 1978, to G. Bill (Vickie) O'Dell and Rev. Kathleen Kemp (Scott) Schmidtke, and they survive. She married John Loar, and he survives. Elizabeth lived in rural Lawson, Mo., during her childhood, where she attended school, then earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in psychology from Southwest Missouri State University and her Ph.D. from Grand Canyon University. Liz and John moved to Lawson, Mo., in early 2016, where they built their dream house on the family farm. John, a graduate of Wauseon High School, was the former owner of Clippers Hair Salon in Wauseon. Liz formerly worked as an executive administrative assistant at Ohio Art Company. She later taught classes at several community colleges in Ohio and Michigan, including Jackson Community College, Owens Community College, and Hillsboro College. She was regarded as a favorite lecturer by many of her students. She also worked from home as a transcriptionist for deaf students. She was passionate about helping deaf students achieve their education through her work. Another of her passions was rescuing animals and caring for her many pets. She also enjoyed travel with her husband, flower gardening, art, painting, playing piano, dance, and singing (including karaoke). She loved being with her family and friends. Anyone she encountered was greeted with her heartfelt smile and open heart. Liz was a member of Lawson United Methodist Church and PEO Chapter AO. She is also survived by her sister, Christine Makayla O'Dell Reed-Schall. on April 13, 2020.²

     Kathleen Anne "Kathy" Kemp and George William O'Dell were divorced.³ Kathleen Anne "Kathy" Kemp was born on November 30, 1953.³ As of June 2, 1974,her married name was O'Dell.¹ She married George William O'Dell, son of Bill Ray O'Dell and Virginia F. Akers, on June 2, 1974 at Lawson, Ray Co., Missouri.^1,2 Kathleen Anne "Kathy" Kemp died on January 4, 2024 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri, at age 70.³ She Kathleen Schmidtke, Nov 30, 1953 - Jan 4, 2024. Rev. Kathleen (Kathy) Anne (Kemp) Schmidtke, age 70 of Kansas City, MO died on 1/4/2024. She is survived by her loving husband Scott Schmidtke of almost 30 years, a daughter Makayla Christine Odell Reed-Schall, three grandchildren, Sydney Reed-Schall, Aidan Reed-Schall, Nadia Reed-Schall, her mother Velma Kemp, her brother, Doug Kemp, and her son-in-law John Loar. She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Kemp, her sister Connie Leathers, and a daughter Dr. Elizabeth Loar. Kathleen received her Bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State and her Master’s of Divinity degree from the St. Paul School of Theology. Kathleen loved learning and took various workshops throughout her career. She read continually and extensively. Some of her happiest moments were trips to SoulFeast in North Carolina with her grandchildren to attend workshops. Kathleen was ordained in the United Methodist Church. She served several churches while full-time and was service the Camden United Methodist Church part-time while in retirement. She loved being a pastor, especially preaching. In retirement she kept writing new sermons each Sunday for her congregation. She truly believed God’s love was for everyone regardless of sexual orientation or station in life. Her messages were of love and acceptance and the need to be better each day. Her passions included gardening, Ballroom Dance, travel, especially cruising and almost anything she could do with her husband. In retirement she started learning how to sew and made her own dress for Scarlet Night for a recent cruise. She is someone who loved others, was loved by others, and will be missed. on January 14, 2024.³
