Mr. Richard Stuart Quick, of Roanoke, Virginia, closed his earthly eyes and awoke in paradise joining his passed loved ones on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the age of 77. Richard was a sweet and gentle soul who enjoyed leather work and building model cars. His preferred name was to be called Richard, just like his father Richard, but he was better known as Stuart to his family and friends. Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Richard R. Quick, who was a well know Real Estate Builder and Developer and Anita Kefauver Quick; brother, David Edward Quick, who passed away in December 2022 after his battle with cancer. He was the eldest of 4 siblings and is survived by his loving baby sisters, Shar Q. Austin and Mary Q. Mann; as well as his 4 sons, Mark, Ian, Jeremy, Justin; special friend who was like a brother, Paul Proffit, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family wishes to extend a deep felt thank you to everyone who cared for Stuart during his battle with cancer, Raleigh Court Health and Rehab, and to the wonderful hospice family who cared for Stuart as if he was their own.3 He was born on June 27, 1946 at Roanoke, Virginia.3,4,5 He married Mayo Elizabeth Rogers on July 3, 1969 at Roanoke, Virginia.4 Richard Stuart Quick and Mayo Elizabeth Rogers were divorced on September 9, 1981 at Roanoke, Virginia.6 Richard Stuart Quick married Christianna Crouch on September 22, 1984 at Roanoke, Virginia.4 Richard Stuart Quick died on August 10, 2023 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 77.3

David Edward Quick David Edward Quick, 74, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022, surrounded by his children, his sister Mary and his beloved canine companion, Charlie, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. He remained positive through the entire journey, was an inspiration to many and never stopped believing in a miracle. The son of Richard Rolander Quick and Anita Kefauver Quick, David was born on May 8, 1948, in Roanoke, Va. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School and went on to major in psychology at Lees-McCrae College in Banner Elk, NC where we are sure he minored in snow skiing. After which he went on to work in the family real estate firm, Quick Realtors and continued to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Later in life David chose a career in landscaping, his love for the outdoors and being active brought him great joy. He developed meaningful friendships with his clients and truly never met a stranger. David is survived by his three children, Ashley Kathryn Quick, Christopher David Quick, and Taelor Allison Quick, all of Roanoke, Va. Also surviving are his brother Richard Stuart Quick, sister Mary Quick Mann both of Roanoke and sister, Shar Quick Austin of Phoenix, AZ. He has countless nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he loved with every ounce of his heart. David wanted to be best remembered, more than anything, for the love he had for his devoted children, his family and keeping a positive attitude regardless of the situation. The family wishes to thank Dr. Joshua Morales, Dr. Bret Adams, Dr. Bill Fintel and Dr. Paul Yeaton along with all the healthcare workers from Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Carilion Clinic and Good Samaritan Hospice for their care and compassion during his long journey with cancer.5 He was born on May 8, 1948 at Roanoke, Virginia.4,5,6,7 He married Linda Sue Repass on June 13, 1970 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.6 David Edward Quick and Linda Sue Repass were divorced on October 31, 1974 at Roanoke, Virginia.7 David Edward Quick married Virginia Ball Trinkle on October 30, 1976 at Roanoke, Virginia.6 David Edward Quick and Virginia Ball Trinkle were divorced on April 24, 1987 at Roanoke, Virginia.7 David Edward Quick married Cynthia Lorene Hood on January 6, 2004 at Roanoke, Virginia.6 David Edward Quick died on December 7, 2022 at Virginia at age 74.5
