Kessinger. Kerena also had many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. She will always be remembered and loved by all that knew her and was touched by her life. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. on June 12, 2001.4

     Amy Sue Thornhill Amy Sue Thornhill, 46, of Pearisburg, departed this life Wednesday morning, December 31, 2014 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg after a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Pearisburg on November 11, 1968, she was a daughter of Roy W. and Shirley Merrix Thornhill of Pearisburg. Amy was an avid Giles Spartan fan, a Virginia Tech fan and a Washington Red Skins fan. She was a 1987 graduate of Giles High School, and had worked at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital and New River Valley Workshop. She enjoyed her family activities especially the shopping trips with her Mom, sister and neice. Amy leaves to cherish her memory, her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Troy Reece, of Newport; her niece, Hannah Brook Reece; and her nephew, Blair Kendill Reece; and a host of friends, classmates, and fellow Spartan fans. Burial following in the Anderson Cemetery on Guinea Mt.1 She was buried at Anderson Cemetery, Giles Co., Virginia.1,2 She was born on November 11, 1968 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.1,2,3 She died on December 31, 2014 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia, at age 46.1,2
