Survivors include his parents; a brother, Richard Lee of Waynesville, N.C; two sisters, Mrs. John (Patricia) Casey of Edgewater, Fla., and Mrs. William (Cindy) Stock, of Empire; and a step-grandfather, Clyde Putnam of Columbiana. Burial will be in Toronto Union Cemetery. on April 6, 1995.⁶

She was born June 26, 1954, in Floyd, the daughter of David Hatcher Jr. and Madeline Puckett Hatcher, both of Patrick Springs. A registered nurse, she was employed at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She also was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Douglas H. Elder of Forest; her son, Jeremy Douglas Elder of Lynchburg, her daughter, Jessica L. Elder of Forest; and three brothers, Lane, Gary and Daryl Hatcher. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. on April 4, 2003.²

She was the loving wife of Jeremy Douglas Elder. She was a devoted Christian who attended Timberlake Baptist Church. She graduated in 2000 from Timberlake Christian School. After high school, she attended Liberty University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree of Education in Speech Communication and graduated in 2004. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, and going to the beach. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, Cindy P. and Michael R. Eberl; her three children, Benjamin Jeremy Elder, age 9; Enoch Michael Elder, age 5; Abigale Janet Elder, age 5; father-in-law and mother-in-law Douglas and Joyce Elder; sister-in-law, Jessica E. Garner and husband, James; niece, Madelyn Garner; nephews, Landon and Matthew Garner; grandmother-in-law, Madeline Hatcher.⁴ She was born on August 11, 1981 at Lynchburg, Virginia.² As of January 3, 2004,her married name was Elder.¹ She married Jeremy Douglas Elder, son of Douglas Harvey Elder and Janet Sue Hatcher, on January 3, 2004 at Lynchburg, Virginia.^1,4 Jennifer Lynn Peacock died on November 21, 2015 at Virginia at age 34.⁴
