Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on November 18, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Irene Kenney Smith. She was a Waitress and Cook, employed by Beachcomber, Charlestown, MD and Buddy's Seafood, Perryville, MD. Elsie loved spending time with her grandchildren, and gardening. Elsie is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Poff who passed away October 7, 1995, and two sons, Walter L. Poff, Jr. and Robert Glenn Poff. Survived by four daughters: Judith A. Green of Elkton, MD, Sherry S. Patchell of North East, MD, Linda J. Burton of Rising Sun, MD, and Tara L. Poff of Elkton, MD and six sons: Charles E. Poff of Elkton, MD, William F. Poff of Elkton, MD, Gary L. Poff of North East, MD, Steven M. Poff of Charlestown, MD, Mark A. Poff of Elkton, MD, and George C. Poff of Elkton, MD. Survived by two sisters: Mary Bay of Jasper, GA, and Daisy Strickland of Lexington, NC and Four brothers: Buck Smith of Charlestown, MD, Frank Smith of Perryville, MD, Johnny Smith, Chesapeake City, MD, and Charles Smith, Elkton, MD. Sister-in-law's: Lois Wilson, Ruth Curry, and Dorothy Malloy. Brother-in-law: Charles Poff. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.      William Franklin "Billy" Poff was born on October 17, 1952 at Elkton, Cecil Co., Maryland.² He died on December 1, 2014 at Baltimore, Maryland, at age 62.² He William F. "Billy" Poff, 62, of North East, MD, died Monday, December 1, 2014 in the Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care Unit at Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Elkton, MD, on October 17, 1952, he was the son of the late Walter L. "Bill" and the late Elsie Virginia (Smith) Poff. Billy was a builder, very well known for his carpenter skills. He was always willing to help anyone. He loved the outdoors, loved to take his nieces and nephews fishing, hunting and being outside with them. His love for them was his joy. That is what made him the happiest. He will be missed by his large family and many friends. Survived by his siblings: Charles "Eddie" Poff (Beverly) of North East, MD, Gary L. Poff of GA, Steven "Mike" Poff (Patty) of Charlestown, MD, Mark A. Poff (Debbie) of Elkton, MD, George "Chris" Poff of Cambridge, MD, Judith A. Green (Marion) of Elkton, MD, Sherry S. Patchell (Billy) of North East, MD, Linda J. Burton (Mike) of Charlestown, MD, Tara Poff of Elkton, MD. He was also survived by the joys of his life, his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many dear friends. on December 3, 2014.²

     Judith Ann Poff was buried at North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, Cecil Co., Maryland.² She was born on June 6, 1955 at Elkton, Cecil Co., Maryland.² She married Samuel Morris on October 6, 1973.¹ As of October 6, 1973,her married name was Morris. As of August 10, 1990,her married name was Green.¹ Judith Ann Poff married Marion Preston Green on August 10, 1990.^1,4,2 Judith Ann Poff died on August 21, 2017 at Newark, New Castle Co., Delaware, at age 62.² She Judith A. Green, 62, of Elkton, MD, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 in Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. A lifelong resident of Elkton, she was born on June 6, 1955, the daughter of the late Walter L. "Bill" and Elsie Virginia (Smith) Poff. Judy worked at North Bay in the food service department. She enjoyed camping, four wheeling, gardening, canning and cooking for family gatherings. Most of all she enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandsons. She is survived by her loving husband, Marion Green; her son, Michael Morris (Stefanie) of North East, MD; her three beloved grandsons: Hunter L., and twins: Gage M. and Matthew R. Morris; her siblings: Charles "Eddie" Poff (Beverly) of North East, MD; Gary L. Poff of GA; Steven "Mike" Poff (Patty) of Charlestown, MD; Sherry S. Patchell (Billy) of North East, MD; Mark A. Poff (Debi) of Elkton, MD; Linda J. Burton (Michael) of Charlestown, MD; George "Chris" Poff of North East, MD; Tara Poff of Elkton, MD; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by three brothers: William F. "Billy", Walter L. and Robert G. Poff. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 25, 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main St., North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. on August 22, 2017.²

     Robert Glenn Poff was born on August 8, 1958. He died on December 22, 1965 at age 7.

Paxton was born in 1825 at Virginia.² She married Zedekiah Elmore, son of James Elmore and Camilla "Milley" "Milla" Gant, on December 3, 1844 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,2 As of December 3, 1844,her married name was Elmore. Rachel A. Paxton Claim filed for military pension on November 3, 1862.⁵ As of June 15, 1876,her married name was Smith.⁴ She married Henry W. Smith on June 15, 1876 at Roane Co., West Virginia.⁴

     Julia Ann Britts was born in 1832 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,2 She married Jacob Wagner Elmore, son of James Elmore and Camilla "Milley" "Milla" Gant, on September 18, 1851 at Craig Co., Virginia.^2,1,3 As of September 18, 1851,her married name was Elmore.
