Book Jr., Indianapolis, Ind; four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Sugden, Norfolk, Va., Miss Lois Book, Columbus, Ind., Miss Katherine Book, Indianapolis, Ind., and Miss Mary Virginia Book, New York, N. Y ; two brothers, Homer Philpott, Conn., and Tyler Philpott, Lafayette, Ind; two sisters, Mrs Don Craig and Mrs. Annie Roos, both of Roanoke, Va; six grand children and four great-grand children. on November 18, 1957.⁶

Ralph is survived by his wife, Connie L. Poff; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Lynda Poff and Jonathon and Erin Poff; grandchildren, Olivia and Jackson Poff; his sister, Charlotte Poff; sister and her husband, Lucy and Ray Drain; brother and his wife, Marvin and Martha Poff; brother and his wife, Norman and Lani Poff; and brother-in-law, Horace Light. Ralph worked in the Hydro Department for Appalachian Power for many years. He was an active member of the Kazim and served in many capacities, most recently the director's staff. Ralph had a spirit of generosity and service to his family and community which he was able to fulfill through his family and Kazim family. Ralph was an adoring grandfather and took pride in making Olivia and Jackson laugh. They brought out his sense of humor and sneaky wit that would spur laughter throughout the room. There are numerous surviving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery. on November 19, 2009.⁶
