Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Faith Baptist Church in Oakvale with Pastor Terry Lambert and Brother David Pendleton officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honoring Mrs. Conner's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Loria Magarowicz, P.O. Box 163, Spanishburg, WV 25922. Mr. Conner loved to spend time with his family. Roy enjoyed sitting on his porch and swinging, was an avid horse shoe player and attended the Rich Creek Baptist Church at Spanishburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Delphia "Dickie" Wood Conner; along with sisters, Hazel Davis, Mayda Williams, Ocie Conner; along with two brothers, Garwood Conner and Jack Conner. Left to cherish his memory, his devoted son and wife, Freddie L. and Betty Conner of Spanishburg; and long with two grandchildren that he loved so dearly, Melinda Conner of Princeton and Leroy Conner and wife, Donna of Sissonville; and two great-grandsons, Austin Conner of Sissonville and Takota Bailey of Princeton. Additional survivors include his sister, Jean Belcher and husband, Calvin of Herndon; brothers, Donald Conner and wife, Mildred of Princeton, Randolph Conner and wife, Faye of Bainbridge, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Conner. On Tuesday at 11 a.m., we will celebrate the life of Roy Conner from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with the Rev. Ralph Calfee officiating. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Roy H. Conner; one son, Freddie L. Conner and wife, Betty of Spanishburg; two grandchildren, James L. Conner and wife, Donna of Sissonville and Melinda S. Conner of Gardner; two great-grandchildren, Austin J. Conner of Sissonville and Takota H. Bailey of Gardner; sisters, Helen Hart and husband, Wes of Spanishburg and Hildred Rockwood of Middletown, Ohio; brothers, Clyde Wood and wife, Martha of Ironton, Ohio, Jim Wood and wife, Virgie of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Freddie 'Gene' Wood and wife, Elaine of Springfield, Ohio, and Roger Wood of Kegley. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with the Rev.
