In addition to her loving and active role as "Mom," Murph was an accomplished proofreader for the business as well as bookkeeper until her retirement in 1994. She loved dancing, the beach, a good laugh, and all things concerning her children and grandchildren. For over 50 years, she was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Roanoke, and chose to spend the last years of her life across the street at Our Lady of the Valley to be "closer to home."
