She was one of six siblings born to this union. As a young woman Catherine married the love of her life Wayne Milton Adams. The two of them cherished every moment together until his passing in 2006. Betty is survived by her daughter-in-law, Carol Mathias and husband; Larry; grandchildren, Tricia and Tom Kixmiller, and their, son Collin Conine, Rob and Becky Wilkie, and their children, Robyn, Clint, and Mitch, and Cristy and Steve Junker, and their children Matthew, Nathan, Julia, and Zachary; and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her caregiver and "daughter" Becky Harris and her children Bradley Harris, Crystal Harris Zimmerman and Michael Harris; special friends Ernestine Firebaugh and Earlene Shortt who traveled with and were like sisters to her. Also surviving are several cousins. Services will be conducted from the Chapel of Light Mausoleum in Evergreen Burial Park. on July 19, 2005.⁴
