He was a mamber of Social Lodge No. 86, F.A.A.M. Surviving are the widow, Dorothy, one daughter, Jill, three sons, Jack, Billy and Teddy, all of Terre Haute; the mother, Mrs. Mary Coleman of detroit, Mich; one brother, Roy, of detroit, and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Taylor of Alton, Ill. The body was taken to Gillis Memory Chapel from where funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. on August 13, 1941.2

She was a member of Northside Community United Methodist Church. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday in Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home in Rosedale, with her grandson, Benjamin Buck officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery in Prairie Creek. Visitation is 9:00 a.m. until services Saturday. Memorials, should friends so desire, may be made to Harvest Teen Rally, 15520 Beeson Station Road, Milton, IN 47357. on December 15, 2005.3

     Catherine Lucille Carrithers was buried at Macon County Memorial Gardens, Macon Co., Tennessee.3 She Catherine Lucille Adams was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 12, 1918 to the late Charles Carrithers and Edna Mink Carrithers. She was one of six siblings born to this union. As a young woman Catherine married the love of her life Wayne Milton Adams. The two of them cherished every moment together until his passing in 2006. Besides her parents and husband, Brother Cyrus Carrithers, Sisters Fern Star, Mary Pigg, and Nadine Buck also preceded Catherine in death. She was retired having worked for Imperial Reading in Lafayette, TN, and also from Fruit of the Loom in Brundige, IN and Bowling Green, KY. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lafayette, TN. On March 28, 2013 the Lord called Catherine home. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Catherine Lucille Adams were conducted on Saturday, March, 30 at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Rushing and Brother Eric Hinson officiating. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Betty is survived by her daughter-in-law, Carol Mathias and husband; Larry; grandchildren, Tricia and Tom Kixmiller, and their, son Collin Conine, Rob and Becky Wilkie, and their children, Robyn, Clint, and Mitch, and Cristy and Steve Junker, and their children Matthew, Nathan, Julia, and Zachary; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles C. Carrithers and Edna E. Carrithers-Liffick; stepfather, Everett Liffick; husband, Berlyn Jeffers; son, James E. Jeffers; sisters, Mary Pigg, Nadine Buck, Catherine Adams and Fern Starr; and a brother, Cyrus C. Carrithers. Private family graveside services will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. on June 7, 2015.4

She was born May 6, 1926 and was the only child of the late Jessie Reed Sink and Dovie Byrd Sink and was a lifetime member of Belmont Baptist Church. She lived in her family home in Southeast Roanoke up until the last four years where she resided at Our Lady of the Valley. She retired in 1988 from the Veteran's Administration after more than 42 years of Federal Service. She loved to travel throughout the USA. She is survived by her caregiver and "daughter" Becky Harris and her children Bradley Harris, Crystal Harris Zimmerman and Michael Harris; special friends Ernestine Firebaugh and Earlene Shortt who traveled with and were like sisters to her. Also surviving are several cousins. Services will be conducted from the Chapel of Light Mausoleum in Evergreen Burial Park. on July 19, 2005.4
