     Timothy Robert Johnson Timothy Robert Johnson, 74, of Madison Heights, passed away, Monday, November 8, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Jacque Swift Johnson. Born August 16, 1947 in Wooster, OH, he was the son of the late Guy Alan and Edith Hall Johnson and was also preceded in death by a brother, David B. Johnson and a sister, Jane Peters. Mr. Johnson was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Mr. Johnson was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Naomi Gillespie and Heather Payne, both of Madison Heights, Jacque Charle’ Zimny, and April Lynn Burrows, both of Amherst; one son, Robert Allen Johnson and wife Rhonda of Roanoke; four brothers, Rev. George Johnson, Jim Johnson, Rev. Art Johnson, and John Johnson; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, on the way.² He was born on August 16, 1947 at Wooster, Wayne Co., Ohio.² He married Jacque Cheryl Swift, daughter of Henry Charles Swift and Lena Erma Conner, on February 19, 1965 at Petersburg, Virginia.^3,1,4 Timothy Robert Johnson died on November 8, 2021 at Lynchburg, Virginia, at age 74.²

     Richard Blaine "Rick" Gillespie Richard Blaine Gillespie, 56, of Amherst passed way suddenly Wednesday, September 7, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Naomi J. Gillespie. Born in Norfolk, August 29, 1960, he was the son of Larry Blaine Gillespie and the late Virginia Peele Gillespie. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by three sisters, Sandy Nice (Temple), Cathy Hinshee (Pete) and Loretta Lynn Beverly; he is also survived by his father-in-law, Tim Johnson, Mother-in-law Jacque Johnson; three sisters-in-law, Charlé Zimny (Don Cordineer), April Burrows (Brad Williams) and Heather Payne (Artie); one brother-in-law, Robert Johnson (Rhonda), three step-children, Michael Murphy (Rebecca) Justin Henley (Jordan Beasley) and September Lynn (Ryan); seven step-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.⁴ He was born on August 25, 1960 at Norfolk, Virginia; His obituary has a birth date of Aug 29, 1960.^2,3,4 He married Naomi Joy Johnson, daughter of Timothy Robert Johnson and Jacque Cheryl Swift, on March 9, 1990 at Chesterfield Co., Virginia.^1,2 Richard Blaine "Rick" Gillespie died on September 7, 2016 at Virginia at age 56.⁴

     James Curtis Burrows James "Jim" Curtis Burrows, 58, of Madison Heights, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at his residence. Born on August 28, 1962 in Covington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Orval Eugene Burrows and the late Clara Ruth Allen Burrows. Jim was raised by Pauline and Jennings Blosser. He was an active member and deacon of Harvest Baptist Church and one of his favorite gospel songs was “The Old Rugged Cross”. Jim also loved Bluegrass Gospel, playing the guitar, and the Rock Band Lynyrd Skynyrd. Jim was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and enjoyed working as a carpenter.
