She lived in her family home in Southeast Roanoke up until the last four years where she resided at Our Lady of the Valley. She retired in 1988 from the Veteran's Administration after more than 42 years of Federal Service. She loved to travel throughout the USA. She is survived by her caregiver and "daughter" Becky Harris and her children Bradley Harris, Crystal Harris Zimmerman and Michael Harris; special friends Ernestine Firebaugh and Earlene Shortt who traveled with and were like sisters to her. Also surviving are several cousins. Services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 from the Chapel of Light Mausoleum in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Belmont Baptist Church 825 Stewart Ave. S.E. Roanoke Va., 24013. Born in Roanoke on March 11, 1970, Todd had recently given his life to Jesus Christ, and looked forward to his Christian walk. Todd's home church in Roanoke was the Williamson Road Church of the Brethren. Todd died in Grand Junction, Colorado. He will be missed by his spouse, Brittany; son Aden James; and Brittany's son Trent. Todd leaves cherished memories for his parents; George and Judy Mills Reimer; his brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Kristen Huffman Reimer; and two nephews Bailey and Bryson Reimer; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from Kentucky, Virginia, Colorado, and Manitoba, Canada. As a child and as a young man, Todd appreciated participating in the ministry of Camp Bethel, a Church of the Brethren camp, Fincastle, Virginia. Todd grew up playing baseball and ice hockey. He earned his GED diploma in March of 1990. Todd loved to snow ski in the mountains of Colorado, and had a passion for animals, especially dogs. Todd enjoyed being with children, and was drawn to their creativity and energy. Todd was a gourmet cook. Thank you to all who have supported Todd, and walked the journey with him. Funeral services will take place at the Williamson Road Church of the Brethren, 3110 Pioneer Road, NW, Roanoke, Virginia, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012. Pastor Leah Harness will officiate. A meal and time of sharing will occur directly after the service with interment to follow at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will take place at Oakeys North Chapel. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012. Memorials for Todd may be sent to Camp Bethel, 328 Bethel Road, Fincastle, VA 22812. Arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel, Roanoke. on May 9, 2012.2
