     Shirley Geraldine Pannell was buried at North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellett, Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁵ She was born on May 17, 1947 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.^4,5 As of August 28, 1964,her married name was Cromer.⁴ She married Donald Gene "Don" Cromer on August 28, 1964 at Cambria, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^2,3,4,5 Shirley Geraldine Pannell died on July 14, 2018 at Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 71.⁵ She Shirley Geraldine Pannell Cromer, 71, of Christiansburg, went home to be with her Lord in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 14, 2018 after an extended illness. Shirley was born on May 17, 1947 to the late William Robert (Bob) Pannell and Magdalene Argabright Pannell of Shawsville, Va. where she lived most of her life. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald G Cromer. Also left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Teresa Cromer Ratcliffe (Tim), of Christiansburg and Christina Cromer (Jeremy) of Elliston; as well as her two grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Nathaniel Oliver and Brianna Killgore. Shirley is also survived by her two brothers, Randy Pannell (Cindy) and Wayne Pannell (Missy); and sister-in-law, Kathy Pannell, all of Shawsville. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, Marvin Cromer of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Shirley loved the Lord, her family and doing things for others. She attended Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church for most of her life where she will be remembered for working with Children's Church and teaching Sunday School. She retired from Moog Inc in Blacksburg where she made many friends over the years. She loved to travel whether it was family vacations to the beach or frequent trips to Pigeon Forge TN and Dollywood or just shopping for the day. Her family treasures many wonderful memories of these times together. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, her sweet nature and her contagious laughter. The family would like to thank everyone that has prayed for Shirley during her illness and ask for continued prayers as we try to adjust to life here without her. We know that Heaven is sweeter today because she is there. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg with service there on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Blacksburg, Va. Pastor Wes Conner and Rev Richard Kingrea will be officiating. on July 16, 2018.⁵

     Nellie Kate Link was born on July 24, 1899 at Newport, Giles Co., Virginia.¹ As of April 29, 1922,her married name was Reed.¹ She married Edward Moyer Reed, son of Charles Tillden "Charlie" Reed and Mary Ann Hopkins, on April 29, 1922 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2

     Eveline/Evaline Conner was born in February, 1843 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,3 As of July 24, 1867,her married name was Kingery.⁵ She married Jacob Kingery on July 24, 1867 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁵ As of August 18, 1869,her married name was Pegram.⁴ Eveline/Evaline Conner married Pinkney N. Pegram on August 18, 1869 at Gallia Co., Ohio.⁴

     David Andrew "Dave" Likens was born on September 8, 1854 at Floyd Co., Virginia.⁵ He married Nancy Perry on January 23, 1878 at Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^3,6 David Andrew "Dave" Likens died on March 26, 1912 at West Virginia at age 57.⁴

     Nancy Perry was born circa 1849 at Kanawha Co., Virginia (now West Virginia).^3,2 As of circa 1877,her married name was Likens.^3,4 She married David Andrew "Dave" Likens, son of John Likens and Sarah Amanda Conner, on January 23, 1878 at Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^1,2 Nancy Perry died in October, 1911 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia; Died from being "accidently shot."⁵

"Lum" Lycans was buried at Perry Family Cemetery (also known as Decota Cemetery), Decota, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.⁸ He was born on October 22, 1879 at Decota, Kanawha Co., West Virginia; His WWII Draft Registration card has a birth year of 1876.^1,2,6 He married Lucretia Webb circa 1899.^9,10 Roman Christopher Columbus D. "Lum" Lycans married Ruby Vanetta on March 7, 1946 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia; Ruby and Lum were both widows at the time of this marriage.⁴ Roman Christopher Columbus D. "Lum" Lycans died on January 28, 1948 at Dunbar, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 68.⁷ He Charleston, W Va., Jan. 28 — Christopher Columbus Lycans, 68, of Slip Hill, was killed and another man injured today when a Ney York Central passenger train struck the truck in which they were riding at the Lock Six crossing, near Dunbar. The injured man, described by police as the owner and driver of the truck, was identified as Lorenzo Dooley, 38, of Charleston, a Negro hauling contractor. Dooley was taken to a Charleston hospital where attendants say he suffered possible fractures of the hip, shoulder, pelvis and ribs. on January 29, 1948.⁷ He LYCANS, Christopher Columbus — Service will be held at 1 p.m. today at the home of a son, Albert Lycans, Sugar creek. Rev. Hobson D. Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in the Lycans cemetery at Decota. The body is at the Bartlett and Welch mortuary at Dunbar. on January 31, 1948.⁸

     Sylvester Lykins was buried at Hall Cemetery, Big Chimney, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.³ He was born on October 14, 1886 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^4,2 He married Lula Mae Powers on March 2, 1926 at Van, Boone Co., West Virginia; Lula was a widow and Sylvester was divorced at the time of their marriage.² Sylvester Lykins died on July 11, 1940 at Big Chimney, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 53.^5,3 He Lykins Funeral — Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday for Sylvester Lykins, 68, who died at his Big Chimney home Thursday. The body will remain at the Albert Myers funeral home until service time. Rites will be at the Big Chimney Baptist church, and burial will follow in Hall cemetery. on July 12, 1940.³

She was a member of Ward Baptist Church. Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Mary Arthur and Mrs. Virgie Goins, both of Charleston; son Grover of Charleston; brother Willie Powers of Oak Hill; 16 grandchildren; seven greatrandchildren.
