     Mary Josephine Firebaugh Josephine “Jo” Collins of Roanoke passed away Saturday, January 07, 2017. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Firebaugh, her husband, Paul Collins, and her brother, Eugene Firebaugh. She developed a love for music at an early age, having played the piano most of her life. This love would result in her becoming the pianist at Tabernacle Baptist Church and later the pianist and choir director for Mountain Pass Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Elaine King and husband Eugene “Buck” King, Linda Anderson and husband Jim Anderson, and Kevin Collins; four grandchildren, Jerry Dean Dotson (Kara), Jason Dotson (Jennifer), Leslie Zeller (Jamie), and Chris Anderson (Corrie); five great grandchildren and numerous friends and other relatives. A graveside service will be held at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.² She was buried at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road N. W., Roanoke, Virginia.^5,2 She was born on January 28, 1929 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^3,4 She married Paul Collins, son of James Peter "Jim" Collins and Minnie Catherine Stump, on January 16, 1948 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 As of January 16, 1948,her married name was Collins.³ Mary Josephine Firebaugh died on January 7, 2017 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 87.²
