Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of 63 years, Deanna Weaver; his children, Sherri Musselman, Lee Weaver (Anita), and Codé Sizemore (Steve); grandchildren, Ty Musselman, Carson Patton, Parker Sizemore, Maddux Sizemore, and Brandon Weaver; and his sister, Lois Weaver. Coy served in the United States Air Force and retired from the City of Roanoke. He enjoyed his ham radio, woodworking, golf, and spending time with his grandchildren and all his four-legged companions.      Judith Ann "Judy" Weaver Judith Ann Weaver Furrow, 78 of Moneta, Virginia passed away on October 14, 2018. Judy was born in Roanoke on July 16, 1940, daughter of the late Russell and Virginia Weaver. She was raised in the Mount Pleasant area, graduating from William Byrd High School. She earned her B.S. in Education from Radford University and taught elementary school for a couple of years prior to dedicating her life to her family and raising her children. She also found time to continue teaching by offering tutoring services and to pursue her love of crafts by opening a miniatures shop. Later in life, she and her husband Roger fulfilled their dream of planting a vineyard and opening a winery where she spent her retirement years. Judy was active in the Smith Mountain Lake area through her membership in Girls Raised In The South (GRITS) and the Smith Mountain Lake Area Wine Club. Judy loved gardening, all types of crafts and cooking, but mostly enjoyed spending special moments with her family. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Roger Furrow; her son Tad Furrow, wife Rebecca; daughter Wendy Furrow-Scott, husband Donald and three very special grandchildren Ryan, Nathan and Tura. Gertrude taught at Mount Pleasant Elementary School in Roanoke County for 37 years. Gertrude married Robert Basil Lester in July 1945, in Roanoke. They were married for 40 years. Gertrude was a member of The Retired Teachers Association. She was a lifetime member of Parent Teachers Association. She was also a member of the Writers Club; she enjoyed writing poems and short stories. She received many certificates for her poems from World of Poetry. Gertrude loved time spent with family and friends, Virginia Tech football games, trips, antiquing and holidays. Gertrude is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Pat and Shirley Lester of Chesapeake, Mike and Mary Lester of Smith Mountain Lake; her grandchildren, Christopher (Chris) and Nicholas (Nick) Lester; her great-grandchild, Dorian Lester; and nieces and nephews and other relatives. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, William and Blanche Weaver; her brothers, Roy, Hubert, Lawrence, Eugene, Russell, Marvin and Eldridge Weaver; sisters, Martha Anne Weaver, Minnie Johnson and Mildred Martin. The family is so appreciative of the help and support of Shelby Howell, Chris Lester, Megan Flora, Allen Perry, Sharlea Blair, Bonnie Nunley, Linda Arnold, Ynell Brumfield, Stephanie Smith, Brenda Gardner, April Gray, Debbie Workman and Patty Beasley.      Marilyn Sue Martin Sue Martin Brewer, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Lewis Martin. She is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Larry E. Brewer; her siblings, Dr. Lewis K. Martin II (Cheri), Margo Martin Deck (David), and Keith W. Martin (Wanda); special nieces, Kerry Sue McGraw (David) and Megan Anne Schaefer; as well as greatniece, Riley McGraw; great-nephew, Liam McGraw; nephew, Lewis K. Martin III; and niece, Lyon M. Davidson. Sue was born in Roanoke, VA, on June 15, 1944. She graduated from William Fleming High School in 1962. She earned a B.S. degree in home economics and a M.S. degree in counseling from Radford College. She was employed by Roanoke County Public Schools for 30 years. Sue was a counselor for 20 years at Northside Junior High School and for 10 years at Hidden Valley Middle School. After her retirement, she worked for seven years at Oakey’s Pet Funeral Home as a receptionist. Sue was an active member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church and then at Genesis United Methodist Church. She served in various leadership roles and had many beloved friends at church. Sue was involved in numerous clubs and organizations, including the Southwest VA Bird Club, Bird Club of VA, Girl Scouts, United Methodist Women, and JDRF, where she led the ?rst annual fundraising walk in Roanoke. She also had many hobbies such as her pet parrots, outreach events with parrots, teaching crafts, attending gem and mineral shows, providing snacks for loved ones and friends, mission work, and volunteering at a local nursing home. In the past year, Sue touched the lives of many by making cards for them. Hutch proudly served his country for 30 years in the army, surviving in World War Il, Korean War and Vietnam. He worked for Adams Construction driving a dump truck for many years. He loved Craig County, and was an avid hunter. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bonnie Epperly Hutchison; sons, Daniel (Ashtyn) Hutchison and Brent Turner. He is also survived by son, Michael (Janet) Hutchison; daughters, Beth (Dennis) Schieber, Joann (Jerry) Webb, Mary Lynn (Howard) Styron, Sherri H. Roth and Melissa H. Lane. There were numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hutch had a special friend, Clyde Conner whom he loved dearly and spent lots of time with. Whether driving the dump truck or hunting, he always thought of Clyde as a son! The family would like to give a special thanks to all the 2nd floor nurses and doctors for their support and excellent care given at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. We would especially like to thank Dr. John White for being such a great friend as well as his Doctor, and for the great care that he gave him for many years!
