She is survived by her brother, Graham Corbin Flint and wife, Marlene, of Hayward, Calif; children, Renee Baldwin and husband, Richard, J. Barry Echols of Salem, and Pat Morrison and husband, Philip, of Fayetteville, Ga; grandchildren, Greg Baldwin and fiancée, Shelly Wood, Traci Rose and husband, Mike, Kevin Baldwin and wife, Cassandra, Tabatha Echols, Connie Echols, Chris Morrison and wife, Tracy, of Winder, Ga., Michael Morrison and wife, Lindsay, of Fayetteville, Ga., and Sandy Sage and husband, Aron, of Colorado Springs, Colo; and great-grandchildren, Dustin and wife, Courtney, Brianna Baldwin, Nathan and Scott Rose, Lily Morrison, Remy Morrison and Ayra Sage. Irene also has many nieces and nephews. Irene worked for K-Mart for over 30 years, retiring on January 31, 1996. The last 20 years were at the K-Mart on Franklin Road. She and Pete especially loved their three dachshunds, "little Mama," Missy and Peewee. Irene loved flowers, working in the yard and she loved to sing. She also enjoyed collecting around the neighborhood for March of Dimes, MS and heart disease. Irene was a member of the Laureate Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and Penn Forest Wesleyan Church. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Richfield Care & Recovery Center 4th floor, Lavender and the JC Thomas Center for their love and care during her stay there. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Oakey's South Chapel with Pastor Dava Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at Ross Cemetery in Sinking Creek. on March 2, 2020.3

(Pete) Echols, 84, of Roanoke, passed from us on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Kate Echols. Pete was born in the Sinking Creek area of Craig County on August 21, 1929. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Irene Flint Echols; his children, Renee Baldwin and husband, Richard, James Barry Echols and wife, Wanda, Pat Morrison and husband, Philip, all of Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Greg Baldwin, Traci Rose, Kevin Baldwin, Tabby Echols, Connie Echols, Sandy Sage, Chris Morrison, and Michael Morrison; also, six great-grandchildren. Pete worked for 36 years as a crane operator at Wiley Jackson Construction. After he retired, he would go to the "shop" every weekday to socialize with Barry and friends, which included everyone who walked through the door. He was always glad to see you. He was a kind and generous man and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Oakey's South Chapel with Pastor Dava Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Ross Cemetery in Craig County. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 19, at Oakey's South Chapel (540-989-3131) on December 19, 2013.2

She was born on December 29, 1931 in Craig County, Va. She was a daughter of the late Markie Bigler and Marguerita Gieson Sarver. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Colonel Flint; and three sisters, Judy S. Mills, Helen S. Lustig, and Bonnie S. Raffler. Mrs. Flint was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved fishing, bowling, and family outings. She is survived by two sons, James C. Flint Jr. and Mark C. Flint; seven daughters and their husbands, Rebecca and Robert Stanley, Margaret and Butch Andrews, Anna and Mike McLaughin, Virginia Carol Emerson Strickler, Linda and Garner Jarrell of Mt. Airy, N.C., Joyce O. Flint, and Jimalea and Danny Routon. She is survived by six brothers and a sister, Richard Sarver and Calvin Sarver of Roanoke, Lawrence Sarver of Forest, Va., Norman Sarver of Mt. Airy, Md., Robert Sarver of Lincoln, Calif., Conrad Sarver of Ringgold, Ga., and Ida S. Lofstrom of San Diego, Calif. She is also survived by her fiance of 30 years, Willard Sexton; fourteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 23, 2006 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A funeral service will immediately follow the period of visitation and begin at 12 p.m. Pastor Myron Powell will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. on January 22, 2006.1

Tressa was a member of Penn Forest Church of God and was preceded in death by her parents, the late Cecil L. and Hazel Luckado; and a brother, Cecil L. Luckado Jr. Surviving to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Bobby N. Edwards, Goodview; daughters, Lisa Ohanian, and husband, Michael, Roanoke, Elesha Moore, Jacksonville, Fla., Kisha Smith, Ky., Teena Edwards, Goodview; three sisters, Kala Heald, and husband, Micky, Fla., Neysa Luckado and Deena Griffith and her husband, Jay, all of Roanoke; brother, Randal Neal Luckado, and wife, Donna, Suffolk, Va; grandchildren, Michael, Tiffany, Cory, Haley; along with many nieces, nephews; and her loving K-9, Crickett. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Suzan Merten and Blue Ridge Cancer Center who fought this battle with Tressa every step of the way. In lieu of flowers Tressa has requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Rd., Roanoke, Va. in her name.      Randell Neal Luckado was born on August 24, 1949 at Roanoke, Virginia.2,3,4 He married Donna Jean Cox on July 2, 1978 at Halifax Co., Virginia.2,4 Randell Neal Luckado died on January 26, 2022 at Suffolk, Virginia, at age 72.4 He Randell Neal Luckado, 72, of Suffolk, Virginia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at his home following a lengthy illness. Neal was born to Cecil and Hazel Luckado Sr. of Roanoke, Va., on August 24, 1949. He graduated second in his class from Cave Spring High School and earned a full scholarship to Virginia tech in Blacksburg. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a master's degree in Administration. Neal was employed as an Industrial Engineer for Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Norfolk, Va., until his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Donna Cox Luckado; his children, Aaron (Megan), Jessica Caveny (Kenneth), Nathan (Tabitha), and Valerie; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Kala Heald (Mickey) of Florida, Neysa Luckado and Deena L. Griffith, both of Roanoke; first cousin and friend, Carla Lendrum; and many nieces and nephews. Neal was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his grandmother, Nettie Flint, whom he loved dearly; his brother, Cecil L. Luckado Jr; sister, Tressa L. Edwards; a nephew, David Jones Jr; and a niece, Jacqueline "Jackie" Jones Fitzhugh, who was born on his birthday. Neal's body was donated to a research foundation to help find a cure for Parkinson's Disease. "Neal, you will be missed by all! We are so happy you are no longer suffering and are in Heaven with Jesus. Until we meet again." on February 6, 2022.4

Born June 11, 1918, in Putnam County, he was the son of the late Henry Pearl Buckland and Leva Ann Armstrong Buckland. He also was preceded in death by brothers, Norman, Clay, Charles Clyde, Raymond and Earl; and sisters, Kathleen Treadway and Beatrice Buckland. Mr. Buckland was a member of Fayetteville First Church of God and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired coal miner from Union Carbide and a member of the UMWA.
