Mateer, daughter of Francis Ellsworth "Frank" Mateer and Dora Gains Cole, on January 23, 1911 at Mercer Co., West Virginia.¹ Willie Fred Havens Hurst died on December 1, 1951 at Ormond Beach, Volusia Co., Florida, at age 69.^2,4 He Funeral service for Fred H. Hurst, 70-year old Duhring resident and retired employe of the American Coal Company at McComas, who died Saturday morning at Ormond Beach, Fla., will be conducted Wednesday. The Pastor, the Rev. B. F. Sublett, will officiate with burial following in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bluefleld. Mr. Hurst, who went to Florida for his health three weeks ago, was a member of the Duhring Church of Christ and of the UMW of A, Local No. 5954. A lifelong resident of Duhring, Mr. Hurst was employed for the American Coal Company for more that 20 years. Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Dolly Harmon Hurst, Duhring; and the following children: Mrs. Paul Dlllion, Mrs. Doris Turney, Mrs. Grace Love, Mrs. J. E. Pyles, Mrs. M. W . Isley and Dan Hurst, all of Burlington, N. C., William Hurst, at home, Paul Hurst, Hines, W. Va., one stepdaughter, Miss Lydia Mae Watkins, Ormond Beach, Fla; four brothera; G. W. Hurst, Bluefleld, Rex Hurst, Montcalm, O. S. Hurst, McComas, B. B. Hurst, Duhrlng; one sister, Mrs. R. S. Kennedy; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Charles Saddler, Gussie Surface, R. B. Dale, Charles Hurst, W. M. Robinett, and E. C. Vaughn. The Ladies Sunday School Class of the Duhring Church of Christ will serve as flowerbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be J. T. Scott. W. L. Warden. J. C. Mitchell, C. C. Ellison, Luther Shrader, Dave McNew, E. M. Taylor, and Smith Jones. on December 3, 1951.⁴

May, on June 17, 1944 at Hurricane, Putnam Co., West Virginia.^1,2,3 Myrdith Rumbaugh died on May 7, 2015 at Louisiana at age 91.³ She Myrdith Rumbaugh Macleery passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late John E. Macleery, Jr. Mother of Fredrick Lee Macleery, Clara Margaret Wolf (Corey), and the late John Franklin Macleery. Daughter of the late Margaret Kerr Rumbaugh and Luther Karl Rumbaugh. Sister of Myrtle Rumbaugh, and the late Elizabeth Davis, Martha Smith, Dudley, Alvin, Luther and Lloyd Rumbaugh. Survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. A native of Hurricane, West Virginia and a resident of Luling, LA for the past 46 years. Myrdith was a member of First Baptist Church of Luling and River Road Garden Club. Burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery, St. Rose, LA. on May 9, 2015.³

Chapman.² Cledis Hamilton MacLeery Sr. was born on March 1, 1924 at East Bank, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^2,7,3,4 He died on November 7, 2008 at Hurricane, Putnam Co., West Virginia, at age 84.^2,7,4 He Cledis Hamilton MacLeery, 84, of Hurricane went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, November 7, 2008, at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital, Hurricane, following a long illness. He was born March 1, 1924, in East Bank, a son of the late John F. and Clara MacLeery. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Carl and John F. MacLeery Jr. Cledis was a member of the Gateway Church of Christ, St. Albans, and was retired from C & P Telephone after 32 years of service. He served his country with the United States Navy during World War II. Cherishing his memory are his loving wife, Bernice R. MacLeery; his daughter, Vickie Stanley; his son, Buddy MacLeery and his wife Bonnie, all of Hurricane. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by all family and friends. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane, with military honors. on November 9, 2008.²

May, on December 6, 1946 at Hurricane, Putnam Co., West Virginia.¹ Leda Murrel Sovine died on February 4, 2013 at West Virginia at age 86.³

He was a member of the Sons of Italy Marconi Branch, coached CYO baseball and football, and was a horse trainer, his passion, for over 30 years. Mr. Scofield is survived by his wife of 47 years, Roseann; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and David Watson of Akron; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Tina of Green, Randall and Pam of Green, and Ronald of Canton; grandchildren, Christopher Watson, Steven, Brianna, Patrick, Spencer, and Riley Scofield, Randy Scofield II, and Candice Scofield; brothers, Donald (Ginerva) of Pittsburgh and Larry (Nancy) of Tampa, Fla; sisters, Nancy (Robert) Rankin of Ashland and Denise Eldridge of Dayton; uncle, Andrew Scofield of Akron; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. on March 23, 2004.³
