She had lived in Oakvale and the surrounding area all of her life and was a graduate of Oakvale High School. By faith, she was affiliated with the Church of God. Additional survivors include one sister, Shirley Waldron of Narrows, Va; two brothers, Lonnie Nathan Blankenship of the home in Oakvale and Emory Lee Blankenship and wife Tina of Huntington, W.Va; five nieces, Sherry Dobbins, Patricia Mount, Lisa Reynolds, Sheila Shelburne and Melissa Weiss; and two nephews, Richard L. Waldron and Larry Dean Waldron. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010 the G.E. Davis Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale with Pastor Clifford Harless and Brother Paul Hazelwood officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. today.      Shirley Mae Blankenship Shirley Mae Waldron, 78, of Radford and Narrows, departed this life Tuesday morning, April 23, 2019 at her home in the Snowville Community in the loving care of her family and hospice. Born in Princeton, WV on July 26, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Emory and Cleo Terry Blankenship. Shirley had worked as a seamstress in Narrows and in production at Kohl Morgan in Radford. She was a devout Christian attending The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ at Elgood, WV and earlier at North Narrows Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Dickie Waldron, her sister Claudia Ann Hurt, her brother Emory Lee Blankenship and three infant siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Larry Waldron of Dublin and Richard Lee Waldron and his wife Kathy of Narrows; her daughters and sons-in-law Shelia and Terry Shelburne of Radford, Melissa and Michael Weiss of Pembroke; her brother and sister-in-law Nathan and Shelby Blankenship of Princeton, WV; her seven grandchildren; and her eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm in The Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow Street, Pembroke, VA with Pastors Eddie Kendall and Tommy Ramsey officiating.      Lonnie Nathan Blankenship Lonnie Nathan Blankenship, 81 of Princeton, departed this life to be with the Lord November 1, 2019 after battling Liver cancer. Nathan went peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family and 2 dedicated Amedisys Hospice employees Jennifer and Sherry. Born April 8, 1938 in Mercer County, Nathan was the son of the late Emory Blankenship and Cleo Terry Blankenship and the last of his siblings Emory Lee Blankenship (Tina) Claudia Ann Blankenship Hurt and Shirley Mae Waldron (Dickie) and 3 infant siblings. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Shelby Lane Blankenship of Princeton and her children that he loved as his own, Dewey Junior Lane, Brian Lane, Kimberly Fela and Melissa Harman all of Princeton. Grandchildren Margo Harman, Alex Harman, Zachary Harman, Derek Watson (Stephanie) Great Grandsons Eli, Oakley and Lucas Watson. Nieces and nephews, Sheila Shelburne (Terry) Larry Waldron, Richard Waldron (Kathy) Melissa Weiss (Mike) Patrica Mount, Sherry Dobbins (Rusty) Lisa Reynolds (Bobby) and one Aunt Virginia Terry Crabtree (Jessie). Nathan was a dedicated Christian and attended Kellysville Church of God (Pastor Atkins) The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ (Pastor Hazelwood) and Sweet Home Baptist Church (Thurman Belcher). For 79 years Nathan dedicated his life to work, church and family and remained single until he met his one and only true love Shelby Lane. Falling in love at first sight, engaged on date two and marrying August 5, 2017. True Love that made news in the Bluefield Telegraph. Nathan’s last two years of his life were filled with joy while he cruised and vacationed with his true love. So much happiness that God allowed Nathan to experience before his departure from this earth. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Nathan, will be held at Noon. Tuesday, November 5, 2019, from the Sweet Home Baptist Church on Willowbrook Road in Princeton with Pastor Thurmond Belcher and Paul Terry officiating.      Charles William Davis Charles William Davis, 73, of White Post, VA, formerly of Beckley, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. He peacefully entered the gates of Heaven at his home surrounded by family. Charlie was born in 1947 in Beckley, WV to the late Calvin George Davis and Louise Marie Davis Blankenship. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1965 and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Concord College in Athens, WV. Charlie served in the Philippines during the Vietnam War in communications for the United States Air Force. He spent the majority of his career as General Manager at the Dr. Pepper/7-UP Bottling Company in Beckley, WV. After retirement, he was an Adjunct Professor at Mountain State University. Charlie was a member of Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and taught the college aged Sunday School class. Most recently, he was a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church. He also served as past president of the Beckley Chamber of Commerce and West Virginia Bottling. Charlie was a treasurer of the Kiwanis Club, Gideon's and Paralyzed Veterans Association (PAV). He enjoyed all types of sports, riding his motorcycle, gardening, boating and traveling. Charlie was an avid sports fan of NASCAR, WVU and Woodrow Wilson High School. He was also blessed with several close friends who walked with him through his journey every step of the way the last five years of his life. But the joy of Charlie's life was spending time with his family and especially his 5 grandchildren. He was a regular presence at all of their activities and special events! Charlie married his wife of 51 years, Nancy Kay Marcinko on January 24, 1969 in Beckley, WV. Surviving with his wife Nancy are Charlie's children; Lori Rohani (Mark) of Middletown, VA, Kellie Vaught (B.K.) of Beckley, WV and Leigh-Anne Hines (Will) of Gainesville, VA; five grandchildren, Landon Rohani of Middletown, VA, Sydney and Bailey Vaught of Beckley, WV, and Juliana and Olivia Hines of Gainesville, VA; sister, Kathy Bowles of Aiken, SC; brother George Davis (Peggy) Abingdon, VA, and many nieces and nephews that he loved. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Grace Laura Rohani in 2005. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Rev. Gerald McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery on the Halls Ridge Road in Princeton. on February 14, 1994.9
