Her life was a testimony of her love. She will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be at Boitnott Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, with interment in Huffman Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. on June 16, 1996.1

He was born July 23, 1926, in the Sinking Creek Valley of Craig County, Va. Son of the late Denny W. and Emily Echols Jones. He attended Old Bethel United Methodist Church in Craig County. Mr. Jones served in the United States Army in World War II, during the Occupation of Germany. He retired from Sovran Bank (now Bank of America) as an Assistant Vice President and Manager of the Crossroads Branch. He was an avid golfer and he and Ocie traveled to 48 states. Elmer was a past president of the Williamson Road Kiwanis Club from 1967 to 1968. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ocie Craft Jones; his son, Jerry L. Jones and his wife, Caroline, of Waynesboro; daughter, Carol Canode and her husband, Sam, of Troutville; two granddaughters, Shannon M. Turner and her husband, Mitchell, of Fincastle, Ann Jones Long and husband, H. Davison Long Jr., of Midlothian; grandson, Alan Canode, of Madison, Wis; three great-grandchildren, Alayna Emily Turner, Kylie Brooke Turner and Emily Caroline Long; sister, Florene Jones Eakin, of Culpeper, Va; and numerous other family members and friends. Interment will follow at the Ross Cemetery in Craig County. on May 15, 2010.2
