Her life was a testimony of her love. She will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be at Boitnott Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, with interment in Huffman Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. on June 16, 1996.¹

He was born July 23, 1926, in the Sinking Creek Valley of Craig County, Va. Son of the late Denny W. and Emily Echols Jones. He attended Old Bethel United Methodist Church in Craig County. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Woodruff; brother, Zane M. Jones; and granddaughter, Emily Caroline Jones. Mr. Jones served in the United States Army in World War II, during the Occupation of Germany. He retired from Sovran Bank (now Bank of America) as an Assistant Vice President and Manager of the Crossroads Branch. He was an avid golfer and he and Ocie traveled to 48 states. Elmer was a past president of the Williamson Road Kiwanis Club from 1967 to 1968. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ocie Craft Jones; his son, Jerry L. Jones and his wife, Caroline, of Waynesboro; daughter, Carol Canode and her husband, Sam, of Troutville; two granddaughters, Shannon M. Turner and her husband, Mitchell, of Fincastle, Ann Jones Long and husband, H. Davison Long Jr., of Midlothian; grandson, Alan Canode, of Madison, Wis; three great-grandchildren, Alayna Emily Turner, Kylie Brooke Turner and Emily Caroline Long; sister, Florene Jones Eakin, of Culpeper, Va; and numerous other family members and friends. Interment will follow at the Ross Cemetery in Craig County. on May 15, 2010.²

     Vint Elliott "Earl" Eden was buried at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^2,3 He was born on January 24, 1920 at Soldier, Carter Co., Kentucky.² He married Phyllis Dare Elmore, daughter of Walter Mason Elmore and Mary Jane Champ, on April 29, 1945 at Roanoke, Virginia.^5,2,4 Vint Elliott "Earl" Eden died on September 21, 1991 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 71.^2,3 He Vint E. Eden, 71, of Ohley, died Saturday, Sept 21, 1991, in CAMC, General Division, of a short illness. He was a retired coal miner for Island Creek Coal Co., Logan, and a member of UMW. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Navy Cross. Surviving: wife, Phyllis Dare Eden; daughters, Mary Wickiser of St. Albans, Margaret Billanti of Pinch; son, Vint of Blacksburg, Va; sister, Nina Elkins of Morehead, Ky; brother, Claude of Logan; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service will be 1 p.m. today at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank, with the Rev. Mervin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. on September 24, 1991.³
