Also surviving are numerous cousins and other relatives. The family would like to thank the Rogers Family and Roanoke County for being there. In lieu of flowers the donations can be made to the family, for the purchase of a grave marker. Graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010.      Nina Mary Weldele was buried at McCafferty Cemetery, Romeo, Macomb Co., Michigan.4 She Nina Mary Jackman (nee Weldele), wife of the late Richard Jackman, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 in Romeo, MI on January 6, 2021. She was born in Scobey, Montana and met and married Richard during World War II. Upon his return from the war, they moved to Michigan, living first in East Detroit and then in Ray Township, where they were long-time residents. Nina, along with her husband, became an accomplished weaver. She sold woven goods and demonstrated weaving at craft shows and in her home. She was also an avid genealogist and along with her children was active in Ray Community 4-H Club and 1st Michigan Colonial Fife & Drum Corps. Nina was the mother of 16 children: Janice DeBaeke, Ann (Ronald) Malburg, Clifford (Linda) Jackman, James (Cindy) Jackman, Myra (Barry) Coddens, Raymond (Deborah) Jackman, Lois Jackman, Vivian (Geza) Szakacs, Aileen (Thomas) Kushner, Beatrice (James) Cuthbertson, Mary Jackman, Vernon (Dianne) Jackman, and Robert (Rhonda) Jackman. Nina was predeceased by sons Thomas (Theresa) Jackman, John (Linda) Jackman, Kenneth Jackman and son-in-law Lawrence DeBaeke. Nina was the grandmother to 51 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Nina was one of 13 children and is also survived by three sisters (Sybil, Leona and Cleo) who live in Washington and Montana.3 She was born on May 26, 1925 at Scobey, Daniels Co., Montana.2,4,3 As of September 19, 1944,her married name was Jackman.2 She married Richard Vernon Jackman, son of Floyd Franklin Jackman Sr. and Lydia Marie Cook, on September 19, 1944 at Great Falls, Cascade Co., Montana.1,2,4,3 Nina Mary Weldele died on January 6, 2021 at Romeo, Macomb Co., Michigan, at age 95.3

Hamilton in 1970.1 Dr. John Alfred Jackman died on August 28, 2008 at College Station, Brazos Co., Texas, at age 60.1,3 He Dr. John Alfred Jackman died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at his home in College Station, Texas. He was born March 30, 1948, in Mount Clemens, to Richard and Nina (Weldele) Jackman. He spent most of his childhood in Michigan; it was here he developed his love and fascination with insects. He attended Michigan State University where he graduated with a Ph.D. in entomology. It was at Michigan State where he met and married Linda J. Hamilton in 1970. Following graduation he and Linda moved to College Station, Texas, where John went to work at the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University. After moving to College Station their three sons, Paul Hamilton, Kevin Richard and Benjamin John were born. Mr. Jackman was actively involved with the Boy Scouts. He eventually became Scout Master to Boy Scout Troop 802, and was proud to watch his three sons obtain Eagle Scout rank. Through the A&M Entomology Department he would grow and develop not only his career, but also help to spread his knowledge of insects to the world through his two published field guides, his extensive Web site on entomology and as a professor. He developed a one-of-a-kind course in the entomology department that taught budding entomologists the delicate art of fly tying, his beloved hobby. John was also active in the Brazos Valley Master Gardener program, the Brazos Valley Fly Fisherman's Club and served as the faculty adviser to the Eagle Scout Club. He was a loving son, a protective brother, an amazing husband, a much admired and loved father, and an incredibly doting grandfather, family said. He was looked up to by so many, and adored by all, family said. He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Paul, Kevin and Ben (Heather); grand-daughter Madeline; mother Nina; and siblings, Janice (Lawrence) DeBaeke of Brooklyn, Ann (Ronald) Malburg of Richmond, Clifford (Linda) of Lapeer, James of Imlay City, Myra (Barry) Coddens of Grayslake, Ill, Raymond (Deborah) of Imlay City, Lois of Clinton Township, Vivian (Geza) Szakacs of Rochester Hills, Aileen (Thomas) Kushner of Bridgeport, Beatrice (James) Cuthbertson of Howell, Mary of Ray Township, Vernon (Dianne) of West Chicago, Ill., Robert (Rhonda) of Armada, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father Richard Vernon; and brothers Thomas Richard and Kenneth Allan. His life will be celebrated with a visitation and service 4:30 to 5:30pm Tuesday at Creek Center in Armada. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be addressed in his name to the Texas A&M Foundation, the Boy Scouts of America, or a charity of your choice. on August 31, 2008.1
