She is survived by her daughter - Ginger Smeltzer of Wynnewood; 2 sons - David Wayne Garrett and wife Debbi of Lone Grove, OK; Fred Garrett and wife Harlene of Elmore City, OK; brother - Leon Woods and wife Barbara of Sulphur, OK; 9 grandchildren - Mitchell and Molly Larimer, Dana Pila, Jodi Purser, David, Devin, Daniel, Tommy, and Stephanie Garrett.1 She was born on September 12, 1936 at Wynnewood, Garvin Co., Oklahoma.1 As of August, 1986,her married name was Hartley.3 She married Thelbert Leo Hartley, son of Purley Leo Hartley and Dorothy Ann Miles, in August, 1986 at Oklahoma.3 Mable Bernice Woods died on February 21, 2020 at Pauls Valley, Garvin Co., Oklahoma, at age 83.1

     Billy Gerald Conner was buried at Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, Cedar Co., Iowa.2 He Billy Gerald Conner, 76, formerly of Tipton, entered eternal rest Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, in Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. in the First United Church of Christ in Tipton. Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 19 from 2-4 p.m. at Fry’s. Burial will be in Tipton Masonic Cemetery; military honors will conclude the service at 1:15 p.m. Billy was born Aug. 2, 1942 in Grand Island, Nebraska and was the son of Wilford “Pete” Conner and Mable Oliver Conner. He graduated from Sigourney (Iowa) High School in 1960. He was united in marriage with Ardelle Janice Whisler on April 18, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa. He served in the United States Air Force from September 10, 1962 to September 9, 1966. He worked in Florida before returning to Sigourney where he worked in construction for his father. Billy then graduated from Iowa State University with an engineering degree and worked as county engineer in Potawatomie, Mills, Cedar, Adair, and Palo Alto counties. Billy is survived by his wife, Ardelle Conner of Emmetsburg, Iowa; son William Conner of Crown Point, Indiana, daughter and son-in law Ann and Darren Miller of Tipton, Iowa, son and daughter-in-law David and Nikki Conner of Omaha, Nebraska, sisters Sharon Kimberlin of Des Moines, Iowa and Melody Conner of Kansas City, Missouri, brother Ronald (Terry) Conner of Iowa City, Iowa, seven grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Carole Conner.2 He was born on August 2, 1942 at Grand Island, Hall Co., Nebraska.2 He married Ardelle Janice Whisler on April 18, 1963 at Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa.2 Billy Gerald Conner died on August 15, 2018 at Maquoketa, Jackson Co., Iowa, at age 76.2

She was preceded in death by her parents. No services are planned. Those who loved her will gather in her honor at a later time. Her body has been cremated. Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney was in charge of arrangements. on June 30, 2005.2
